Islamophobes Influence Man to Blow up Dearborn Mosque?

UPDATE 1: It appears this man is a Sunni Muslim! Thus the Islamophobes influencing him would not be a valid theory.

The infamous David Wood has indeed posited a different theory which dictates Roger Stokham is not sound mentally. Perhaps this could be the reason behind Stockham's attack on a Mosque.

We await the outcome of the trial.

UPDATE 2: It appears a dishonest Islamophobe is accusing me of accusing his small Islamophobic group  (Acts 17) of encouraging Stockham. He fails to understand there are a ton of Islamophobes so when when I suggest "Islamophobes" could have influenced this fella it does NOT solely refer to his small group.

I guess this man is trying to have a disingenuous dig in order to circumnavigate all the lies and outrage his group have been peddling - much of his group's shame is catalogued on this site (see below)

The original post has been maintained for purposes of intellectual honesty, see below:

OK, we have seen Islamophobic rabble-rousers on the internet hate-mongering against Muslims and distorting the realities in Dearborn. Some Islamophobes even take their fear-mongering to the level of presenting sex hoaxes about Muslims and some specifically target Dearbon by claiming there is "Sharia in Dearborn" and even visit the city looking for controversy under the guise of evangelsim.

Well, it seems Islamophobic lies and propaganda have affected a 63 year old man, Roger Stockham, to the extent that he attempted to BLOW UP a mosque in Dearborn. Apparently, he travelled all the way from the San Diego area to do so. This man has been buttered up by the Islamophobic propaganda - I would not be surprised if this fella was donating cash to the self-styled internet warriors against "jihad" and "sharia".

I just hope this chap learns it's a business - he was taken in by their Islamophobic rhetoric - a rhetoric which is designed to fear-monger and generate donations ($$$). Some folk are just so gullible!

Roger Stockham Arrested for Attempting to Blow Up Dearborn Mosque

0">

DETROIT -- A 63-year-old U.S. man who had explosives in his vehicle was arrested outside one of America's largest mosques in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, authorities said.
Police said Roger Stockham was arraigned Wednesday on one count of making a false report or threat of terrorism and one count of possessing explosives with an unlawful intent. Stockham had a large but undisclosed quantity of class-C fireworks including M-80s, which are outlawed in Michigan, Chief Ronald Haddad said.
"I was comfortable with the fact that we had taken him off the street -- he isn't going anywhere," Haddad told The Associated Press Sunday afternoon. "I think the society he wanted to impact is safe."
Haddad said Stockham was arrested Monday evening without incident in the parking lot of Islamic Center of America, while a large group was gathered inside. He said police received an emergency call from a resident.
Haddad said authorities believe Stockham was acting alone but still take him "very seriously." He said Stockham has "a long history of anti-government activities," though he declined to elaborate.

  1. I find a sad sense of irony in which if it was a Muslim outside a large Church this story would have been "front page" news instead of its seemly "back page" position on most news outlet websites.

It is pretty obvious to the casual observer the man needs assistance and a positive environment.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Glad nothing worse came of his actions.

Anonymous is absolutely correct! The sad thing is there are Christians who take the teachings of the New Testament very seriously! Especially teachings such as
Who ever does not accept me as king bring them before me and slay them!

And 'the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent men take it by force'.

The tea-party is filled with such people waiting to happen. May Allah protect all innocents of every faith every where!
    Amin!

  3. Well all I can say is thank god, not the allah god but the one True GOD YHWY that he was caught. Can you guys imagine how many churches would of been burned down and Christians killed, if he had been even remotely successful.

Now as far as the post title. Yahay Snow I can assure you that if this Islamaphobe had influenced anyone to blow up anything, it wouldn't be done with fireworks, and he or she would of succeeded in their task.

  4. Here's what the media have uncovered about him:

    1. Vietnam veteran, "typical surfer"

Stockham was a Vietnam veteran who reportedly flew more than 600 combat helicopter missions in Vietnam. According to an online VFW profile he apparently updated, Stockham described himself "a typical surfer" who went to Vietnam in 1968 "and flew Huey slicks with an assault helicopter company, saw a lot of action, got a lot of air medals, but not much else."

    2. Served time for threatening President Bush, veterans clinic

Stockham served time in federal custody after threatening to kill President George W. Bush and bomb a Vermont veterans clinic in 2002, according to The Detroit News. He reportedly threatened Bush because of something the president said in a speech about Iraq. Separately, he told a local newspaper he was going to explode bombs in a neighborhood near a Veterans Affairs Department complex. In one call to the newspaper, he identified himself as "Hem Ahadin" and described himself as "a local Muslim terrorist on a roll."

    3. Pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity

Stockham pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity in 2004 and served time in the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, where he was released in late 2005. A psych examination prior to his incarceration indicated he suffered from bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and personality disorder with anti-social features.

    4. Local authorities tipped off by bar employee

Before parking his car outside the mosque, the Dearborn Press & Guide reports Stockham spent time at a local bar. It's not clear what Stockham said there, but apparently it was suggestive enough to lead an employee to call the police, expressing concern Stockham might carry out an attack on local Muslims or Arabs. That call led police to search the area, where they found Stockham.

    5. Trouble at California VFW

California VFW post 5477 was in the process of revoking Stockham's membership after a series of troubling incidents, according to The News. Stockham had been caught smoking pot, referred to a post commander with a racial slur and rarely socialized with other members. "He's a nut,' co-chair Richard Schmitz told the newspaper. "He flipped out lately." (Read more.)

To Radical Moderate "the one True GOD YHWY" YHWY? So God is now an acronym? Sorry but Yahweh Moloch is not the God of Abraham!

It is El Shaddai that is true and not Yahweh Moloch your pagan bull deity of holocaust!

    2nd,

"Now as far as the post title. Yahay Snow I can assure you that if this Islamaphobe had influenced anyone to blow up anything, it wouldn't be done with fireworks, and he or she would of succeeded in their task."

Is this a veiled threat? Something that we may need to report to the appropriate authorities?

We know you Christian dominonist and Rushdoony followers are out there, but there are also Quakers, and Mennonites, and Christians who love peace and eschew New Testament doctrines such as "bring them before me and slay them"

It is to them the moderate Christians who love peace and decide to leave archaic New Testament calls to violence and war behind that we reach out to.

    Those of common good sense!

  7. Is that a veiled threat from Mr Radical?

Radical, you are the man who wants to use Iraq to war with Iran.

I am REALLY glad you do not live in the UK. However, I feel for the Ameican Muslims - there are folk even scarier than you living amongst them.

Radical, I see fundamentalist Christianity is not working well for you.

You, like the rest of your pals (specifically thinking of Sam and Dave), have redirected hatred to a new avenue (Muslims) RATHER than nipping it in the bud.

Clearly your conversions never yielded new hearts. It begs the question - how do you expect us to believe you have the Holy Spirit?

"Is that a veiled threat from Mr Radical?"

It was no such thing. I was pointing out how desperate you have to be to link this guy, who thought he could blow up a mosq with fire crackers and has a history of mental illness, with people spreading the truth about Islam.

I mean lets take a brief look at Islam in the news this week.

Jan 31st Attacks targeting police in northwest Pakistan Monday killed at least five people Monday,

Feb 02 bomb blast has killed nine people in the northwestern city of Peshawar

Feb 02 "Pakistan has set the standard for intolerance when it comes to misusing blasphemy laws, but sending a schoolboy to jail for something he scribbled on an exam paper is truly appalling"

Another Man sentenced to Death for Blasphemy in Pakistan

Violence against Christians grows in PAKISTAN

TENS of thousands of people crowded the streets of Lahore late on Sunday demanding freedom for the assassin of Punjab governor Salman Taseer.

Three infants and two women were among at least ten killed in a car bomb near a police station in the city of Peshawar.

Iran has hanged 11 people with alleged connections to a Sunni Muslim opposition group that killed 39 people in a mosque bombing

Strikes and protests against proposed change to present law which permits death sentence for those guilty of blasphemy.

A British Airways employee conspired with a radical preacher to blow up a US-bound aeroplane, a court has heard.

Cleric held after Bangladesh teen whipped to death

News of a massacre of two Christian Coptic families by Islamists just emerged from Upper Egypt

There is so much more I could post but I think I have made my point.

I suppose you will now say that all the incidnets I listed above are also "influenced" by Islamaphobes. perhaps they were Episcopalians.

I'm thinking you Muslims have nothing to fear from us Islampaphobes. I'm thinking you should be afraid of your fellow Muslims.

Oh wait, you wanted to use their country as a theatre of war so you care very little for their fellings.

As for your copious links. what have they got to do with this Islamophobe who is attacking mosques???

    @Radical,

I would like to remind you "Allah" is a word for God - used by Arab CHRISTIANS too.

Yes Jesus Christ is called Allah (God) in the Arabic New Testament, and Allah is the Generic term for God, like El or Eloheem in Hebrew, and Theos in Greek. However The name of the one true living God is YWHY it is his name, his name forever his memorial name. It is the name of power that the father has that he gives to the son in John 17.

This name is never spoken by jews, it is translated into English as Hashem (The Name), and from Hebrew into Greek as Kurios (lord). In English Christian bibles this LORD is denoted by all caps, or it is in a different font or it is italicized.

You also said "Oh wait, you wanted to use their country as a theatre of war so you care very little for their fellings."

A total mis representation of what I said and believe. I WANT THE US to completely withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan, no bases in KSA, a total disengagement. Let the Sunni's and Shia battle it out. Let Iran fight Iraq, and Let Iraq fight Iran. Support one over the other then support the other of over the one. It's simple let you Muslims do what you Muslims do best and that is kill each other. But absolutely NO US FORCES directly involved.

I'm surprised you Muslim's don't want that. Kind of like what is happening in Egypt right now. You all complain that the US get's involved in the affairs of others, now Muslims are complaining that the US is not getting involved in the affairs of Egypt. Simply amazing.

Now for the rest of your nonsense.

"As for your copious links. what have they got to do with this Islamophobe who is attacking mosques???"

Wow a deranged individual with a history of mental illness, buys some fireworks and foolishly threatens to BLOW UP A MOSQUE NOT MOSQUES PLURAL, and all of a sudden it's a conspiracy to blow up multiple Mosques lol. Again desperation.

You honestly can not figure out what all those Links have to do with this one derranged individual. They're all about Islam and Muslims in the news from the day this person was arrested.

Tell me what do all those links have in common? THEY DEAL WITH MUSLIMS. Not a single deranged individual, but MULTIPLE MUSLIMS from various parts of the WORLD doing what they do best and that is kill, torture and imprison others.

    What influeced them sir?
What influenced the Muslims to attack the police station in Pakistan killing 5 people?

What influenced the Muslims to detonate a bomb killing 9 people in Peshwar?

What influenced the Muslims to "Set the standard for intolerance" with the Blasphmey law in Pakistan?

What influenced the Muslims to sentence another man to death for these Blasphemy laws?

What influenced the Muslims to increase violence against CHRISTENS in Pakistan?

What influenced ten's of thousands of Muslims to take to the streets, demanding freedom for a MURDERER after he killed a Pakistani GOVERNOR?

What influenced the Muslim school teacher to turn in a 17 year old student to FACE DEATH for scribbling something on a notebook?

What caused tens of thousands of Muslims to take to the street to protest any Changes to this Blasphemy law?

What caused the Muslims in Bangledesh including a Imam to WHIP A 15 YEAR OLD GIRL TO DEATH?

What caused a British Muslim to conspire to blow up US bound Jets?

What caused Muslims to detonate a car bomb killing 3 INFANTS AND 2 WOMAN in Pakistan?

And what caused Muslims to Murder two Christian Families in Egypt?

    What influenced them was ISLAM.

But none of that matters to you, because in the USA some single deranged lunatic decided to he was going to blow up a single MOSQUE with firecrackers.

HE'S A MUSLIM! LOL A MUSLIM! A SUNNI MUSLIM! THAT WANTED TO ATTACK SHIA'S SO SUNNI ISLAM INFLUENCED HIM TO ATTEMPT TO BLOW UP A MOSQ WITH M-80'S?

"Stockham, a convert to Islam, said in court he wouldn't accept Haidar because — according to Stockham — Haidar is a Shi'ite Muslim who worships at the Islamic Center."

Do you see that a CONVERT TO ISLAM

"I reject my appointed counsel. He is a Shi'ite and I am not. And he attends the mosque I am attempted of accusing (sic),” he said, before he was cut off by 19th District Judge Mark Somers."

So children what have we learned ISLAM INFLUENCES people to blow things up.

  13. Roger Stockham is a convert to Islam. But he's a Sunni Muslim, and he wanted to toss some M-80s at the largest mosque in America, because he hates Shia Muslims. Stockham was given a court-appointed attorney (Mark Haidar), whom he rejected for supposedly being a Shia. Stockham speaks fluent Arabic and quotes the Qur'an during interviews.

YOU OWE US ISLAMAPHOBES and David Wood A APOLOGY AGAIN!!!

    You said...

"Of course it was only reasonable to assume he was a non-muslim."

It's only reasonable if your a BIGOT to assume it was a NON MUSLIM. Especially with all the links I posted on MUSLIMS KILLING MUSLIMS in the week following this mosq-scapade. Can you imagine what would of happened if this MUSLIM nut job had succeeded? All the Islamic bigots in Dearborn would of been burning churches and attacking Christians.

    You said in your update

"The infamous David Wood has indeed posited a different theory which dictates Roger Stokham is not sound mentally. Perhaps this could be the reason behind Stockham's attack on a Mosque."

So when you thought he was a NON MUSLIM it was Islamaphobia that influenced him. Now that he is a Muslim it is his mental instability that is to blame.

Well I agree he is mentaly unstable, i have said so repeatedly and he is a MUSLIM. So Islam attracts MENTALY UNSTABLE PEOPLE. I guess this is what you mean when you tell me Islam will make me a better person. Look what it did for Roger Stockam.

Yahya you "screwed the pooch" on this one, you really "screwed the pooch".

Suppose an atheist named Richard has a website dedicated to exposing Christianity's falseness and violent teachings, which he writes because he genuinely believes that Christianity is a danger to society. For the latter subject (violent teachings), he posts news articles about Christian fundamentalists harassing homosexuals and blowing up abortion centers, and then he explains how Christians are behaving this way because of the Bible. But he never once calls for his readers to harm Christians and he repeatedly says that he does not condone hate crimes against Christians.

Then news comes out that a mentally-ill atheist attempted to set fire to a major church down south. Richard posts a news article about it on his website and ends his post by condemning the attack, saying: "Regardless of the creed of the victim or terrorist, I categorically denounce terrorism."

But Christians come to his site and attack his motives. "This is all your fault!" they say. "You're spreading Christenophobia for money!" And Richard's fellow atheist tells him, "I warned you that posting articles on your website would cause people to try to kill Christians. You are directly responsible for this man's actions."

Can any of you seriously say that Richard -- who never promoted hate against Christians but simply wanted to protect the world from what he perceived as a violent ideology -- is responsible for the attempted attack against the church?

(Sorry for the dumb story, but I thought it would make people think about how stupid this blame-game is by replacing elements of the events.)

So let's blame the guy who did it (Roger Stockham) instead of the Richards who don't promote or intend for attacks like this to happen.

Question do you even know when your lying anymore, or does it just come as natural as breathing.

In your second update you wrote.
"UPDATE 2: It appears a dishonest Islamophobe is accusing me of accusing his small Islamophobic group (Acts 17) of encouraging Stockham."

The only one being dishonest is you. Lets take a look at what you wrote before the truth came out that Roger Stockham was in fact a "ENTHUSIASTIC MUSLIM"

You wrote "OK, we have seen Islamophobic rabble-rousers on the internet hate-mongering against Muslims and distorting the realities in Dearborn. Some Islamophobes even take their fear-mongering to the level of presenting sex hoaxes about Muslims and some specifically target Dearbon by claiming there is "Sharia in Dearborn" and even visit the city looking for controversy under the guise of evangelsim."

One only needs to glance at your blog to see you have been on about David Wood and Acts 17 regarding Dearborn, and what you call "Sex Hoaxes" for some time. To come to the conclusion that you are referring to David Wood and Acts17 apologetics.

Or are you now saying you were not referring to David Wood? Who else could you be referring to?

You then write, "Well, it seems Islamophobic lies and propaganda have affected a 63 year old man, Roger Stockham, to the extent that he attempted to BLOW UP a mosque in Dearborn."

What Islamaphobic lies and propoganda could you be refering to? It can only be what you stated above regarding "distorting the realaties of Dearborn, presenting sex hoaxes, and claiming that Sharia law exits in Dearborn.

You then wrote, "I just hope this chap learns it's a business - he was taken in by their Islamophobic rhetoric - a rhetoric which is designed to fear-monger and generate donations"

Since you have accused David Wood and Acts 17 apologetics in the past of "Conning" gullible Christians with Islamaphobic rhetoric to get contributions. And since you repeated in your first paragraph all of your accusations you have leveled against David Wood and crew for sometime. Who else could you be referring to when you wrote "taken in by their Islamophobic rhetoric"?

So it is not only disingenuous but dishonest to now claim you were not referring to Acts 17 Apologetics when you wrote "I just hope this chap learns it's a business - he was taken in by their Islamophobic rhetoric - a rhetoric which is designed to fear-monger and generate donations"

Or are you now going to claim ignorance for the English language like you did when Dr White exposed you for your foolishness.

  19. @Yahya Snow
Either way you owe ALL ISLAMAPHOBES on the internet AN APOLOGY for falsely accusing us of inspiring a "Enthusiastic Muslim" to blow up a Mosque with fireworks.

  20. @Radical,

    Stop, please stop with this!

I am the one who will know what I meant if any ambiguity was to arise.

Islamophoes refer to a whole bunch of folk - including yourself.

However, you and Dave are hardly the biggest Islamophobes on the net. You (Dave and Sam) are not the only ones who peddle sex hoaxes.

I n fact that particular sex hoax was made up by Arab Christian(s) on the net.

Father Zakaria peddles sex hoaxes too.

Spencer is one of the biggest Islamophobes along with Geller. Spencer showcases Fther Zakaria's sex hoaxes and Geller targets Dearborn - at times she has used the lies of Wood to target Dearborn Muslims.

In addition I see a number of folk peddling the same nonsense via YT comments. These are Islamophobes too.

Please think before coming over to my ministry and accusing me of "deception".

As for White, he exposed nothing but his own disginegenuous sate. Seen as you are a man who dislikes me and a follower of White you are blinded by bias.

The same bias applies in your commenting here - you support Dave and dislike me.

Calm down and think for yourself.

As for apologising to "Islamophobes", how do you propose I do that.

And could you push Sam, Dave, Nabeel, James etc towards apologising.

I have ammended my post and have noticed our Dave has removed the link from his site - I guess the truth is a hard pill for him to swallow - either thator he doesn't want the more discerning amongst his followers to see his latest lies.

Iron sharpens iron as one man sharpens another.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Having said all that there is NO place where I accused Dave and his pals of encouraging or influencing this man.

Yes I did suggest there was a possibility the Islamophobes duped this fella and perhaps he was giving cash to the likes of Spencer, Wood, Geller etc

BUT no outright accusation was made.

Please stop wasting my time. You have no desire to see your pals admit their lies but you come here and grab anything you can in an attempt attempt to impugn me.

Sadly your reading comprehensioleaves you at convenient times - White has a similar affliction :)

  22. The individual is a Muslim. Now I don't mean to come off as if I'm enjoying this, but one must admit that the irony is just too unreal. Yes he's a Muslim. At least we are now all agreed on the above.
