Hi Joel,
Jesus taught people to do the Will of God (according to Mark 3:35) in order to become his brothers, mothers or sisters. A Muslim means one who submits to the Will of God. Do you want to become a brother of Jesus? If yes, become a Muslim. Now is the time.

There is something that almost all non-Muslims don't know about the Koran and speech.In the NT the Golden Rule is given the status of LAW,the highest level in Judaism:"Do to others as you would have them do to you".The Golden Rule is called:Law of God/Christ/Perfect/of Liberty/Royal
Here are all the citations:

That is why if a person is a Christian he should always have that rule as a guiding force.So speaking bad of others is wrong.If you are wrong and abusive,you want others to have patience with you.There are some exceptions,but very few.
I have always been shocked that Christians insult others in the name of religion.It must be a cultural thing because believe me in other cultures nobody gets emotional to the point of insult because of religion(even when they are great believers).
ABOUT THE KORAN AND SPEECH
The Golden Rule is in the Koran in suras 13:22-24/23:96/28:54/41:34.
But in sura 42:40 one has 2 options,to pay an injury with a like injury,or to forgive.
ABOUT MUSLIMS WHO INSULT NON-MUSLIMS WHO INSULT THEM OR ISLAM
Sura 29:46 says:
"And do not dispute with the people of the Book,
except for what is better/save in the fairer manner;
except with those who have been unjust/do wrong."
In other words if a Jew or Christian uses the foulest language toward a Muslim or Islam then he can insult also.
Here we have a cultural difference.Christians who engage Muslims(those Muslims who know the Koran well) should know there is a real cultural difference that is deep.That is why when Sami Zaatari or Osama Abdallah(and they all know the Koran very well) go wild verbally with those who insult them/Islam/Muhammad.It is not they have an emotional fragility,there is a cultural basis.So it is really absurd for me,if I am insulted one of these days by a Muslim,to insult back like a wolverine.I understand what is going on.
The French say "Soyez sage/Be wise",not that one agrees but one undestands.
Mr osteen I'd welcome to Islam. Islam is for everybody
