Tens of thousands of Muslims flee Christian militias in Central African Republic

BANGUI, Central African Republic – Tens of thousands of Muslims are fleeing to neighboring countries by plane and truck as Christian militias stage brutal attacks, shattering the social fabric of this war-ravaged nation.
In towns and villages as well as here in the capital, Christian vigilantes wielding machetes have killed scores of Muslims, who are a minority here, and burned and looted their houses and mosques in recent days, according to witnesses, aid agencies and peacekeepers. Tens of thousands of Muslims have fled their homes. The cycle of chaos is fast becoming one of the worst outbreaks of violence along Muslim-Christian fault lines in recent memory in sub-Saharan Africa, tensions that have also plagued countries such as Nigeria and Sudan

  4. @Anon and RM

    Please stop with your agendas.

This post was simply put up to highlight what is happening to Muslims. I received an email concerning it and thus presented the story here to do my small bit.

People can read the whole story in the link I provided.

The Muslims who are being run out of their homelands are innocent of any wrong doing.

If you want me to report instances of Christians being persecuted please EMAIL me the link. DO NOT TRY TO UNDERMINE THE SUFFERING OF THESE MUSLIMS.

    Peace

  5. Yahya you did it again. You deleted a comment of mine as well as a comment from a Anon that was directly on TOPIC which is the article you posted.

Stop pushing your agenda, why are you only concerned with a few thousand Muslims facing the consequences of their actions in killing and persecuting HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF CHRISTIANS.

Why arent you concerned for the HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF CHRISTIANS THAT these few thousand Muslims killed and drove from their homes?

  6. Please read the article folks. Yahya is hoping you won't. He only quoted part about Muslims "suffering" but not the part about why they are "suffering". In other words, HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of Christians have been driven into hiding by these thugs, and now some people have risen up and have defended themselves and Muslims like Yahya only want to "highlight" the fact that these poor thugs are getting what they deserve.

You are a THE BIGGEST hypocrite I have ever seen. I would never want to be a Muslim since it would mean becoming more like you. YOU do a disservice to Islam with your lies and hypocrisy. I want none of your religion, and you and others like you are one of MANY reasons. So keep up the lies, liar. It pushes people away. Think about it.

Jesus said that those who do the will of God are His true brothers and sisters. Muslims like Yahya do not do the will of God by peddling lies. They are not the brothers of Jesus. LIARS ONE AND ALL just like their prophet.

  7. You think you are earning points with your god by behaving this way, but I am sure for your lies you are earning a HOT spot in hell.

My Response: Actually Yahya does a great service to Islam. He demonstrates the lack of moral character you have to have in order to be a Muslim.

  9. Anon I think we should thank Yahya Snow for bringing this to the attention of his limited readership.

Since before I noticed it on his blog I hadn't paid much attention to what is going on in CAR.

Now that he has I have been doing some research. Here is another quote I found from another article that highlights how the Muslims are getting their just rewards.

"Michel Djotodia, who was a leader of the Séléka rebel coalition, declared himself president after the rebel coup. Djotodia is a Muslim governing over a majority Christian population and has lost control over Séléka rebel groups now inciting Christians and Muslims against each other. To make matters worse, there’s mounting evidence those same rebels have been responsible for war crimes, among other atrocities."

"In Bossangoa alone, Bach Baouab says 35,000 displaced people are living on a Catholic missionary compound, "scared stiff" of leaving. Mostly Christians, they’re afraid of retribution and targeted killings by rival Muslim groups."

  10. Here is from another article that is crying over a few thousand Muslims. Even so the article points the blame squarely where it belongs.

"The current violence, hatred, and instability are a direct result of the human rights crisis that began in December 2012, when mostly Muslim Seleka forces launched an armed offensive that culminated in their seizure of power in March 2013. In power for nearly ten months, the Seleka were responsible for massacres, extrajudicial executions, rape, torture, and looting, as well as massive burning and destruction of Christian villages."

Let us pray that the hundreds of thousands of Christians that have been driven out of their homes because Muslims practicing Islam on them can return safely to their homes and rebuild a peaceful society with out the threat of Islam.

  11. Another Quote...

"The waning power of the Seleka has not lessened their brutality as they leave. Even with their movement and operational capability significantly hampered, they have continued to carry out vicious attacks on Christian civilians and their property. Armed members of Muslim communities, acting independently or alongside Seleka forces, have also carried out brutal and large scale sectarian attacks on Christian civilians. "
