Mitigating for Barnes, Naeem Mian said: "There are no ifs, no buts, no maybes, Mr Barnes makes it absolutely clear that these are idiotic acts borne out of breathtaking stupidity."
He said his client was vulnerable to coming under bad influences, having been taken into care at the age of eight and prevented from attending his mother's funeral after she died in custody.
Dawson's lawyer Susan Meek said her client, who had been studying at university, also came under the influence of others. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-26579717
Whenever something like this happens it stigmatizes the visibly practicing Muslims in the UK and in the West in general. The lady, Rebekah Dawson, wore the veil and the media reporting of such makes life more difficult for women who do wear the niqab as they have to deal with the suspicion of people who do not differentiate and recognise that the wearing of the veil has nothing to do with terrorism. In fact, in the UK from my experience most of the women who do wear the veil seem to be of Salafi and Deobandi backgrounds - these two groups are amongst the most vocal AGAINST terrorism.
Most British Muslims know terrorism is not allowed in Islam. For those who are unsure please see this link:

Invitation to IslamJesus taught people to do the Will of God (according to Mark 3:35) in order to become his brothers, mothers or sisters. A Muslim means one who submits to the Will of God. Do you want to become a brother of Jesus? If yes, become a Muslim.

Pathetic Radical Moderate. What are you trying to achieve here really? Whatever the reasons behind Paul Williams' decision, a short article by Ijaz Ahmad was hardly the main reason.Grow up and address real arguments. I am sure we can trawl the web looking for ex christians to throw in your face too if you really want to play that game.
