Non Islamic: Suicide Bombing in Iraq - 18 Killed

This is really sad news, a suicide attack on a college in Baghdad has murdered 18 people and wounded many more.

I just wish these terrorist Iraqis, who are involve themselves in such murder and mayhem, would look into Islam and check whether their terrorist activities were allowed in Islam. we have seen a scholar pint out that terrorism such as this act and 9.11 are indeed UNISLAMIC - the sharia is against such murderous actions:

A series of attacks, including a coordinated assault on a private Shiite college in Baghdad, killed at least 18 people and wounded nearly 50 in Iraq.

Today's deadliest attack took place outside the southern city of Samawah, where two car bombs exploded simultaneously in a commercial area, killing seven civilians and wounding 17, police said. The Shiite city is located 230 miles south east of Baghdad.

The dramatic assault on the college happened in Baghdad's eastern district of Ur. A suicide bomber with an explosives belt attacked the main gate of the college as three militants attacked the back gate, police said. The militants killed four policemen and one teacher, and wounded another 18 people. Security forces killed all of the attackers.

In a third attack, a car bomb in a commercial area in the town of Iskandariyah, south of Baghdad, killed three civilians and wounded 12 others, police said. Later police said a bomb exploded in a busy street in the village of al-Rashed, 12 miles south of Baghdad, killing three people and wounding six.

There were no immediate claims of responsibility for the bombings, but Sunni insurgent groups have stepped up attacks across the country since the Shiite-led government cracked down on a Sunni protest movement last year. Violence outside the capital, in particular, has increased as militants look to undermine the Shiite-led government ahead of the parliamentary election on April 30.

Invitation to Islam

Jesus taught people to do the Will of God (according to Mark 3:35) in order to become his brothers, mothers or sisters. A Muslim means one who submits to the Will of God. Do you want to become a brother/sister of Jesus? If yes, become a Muslim.

  1. Fox News—The U.S. and Saudi Arabia have supplied Syrian rebel groups with a small number of advanced American antitank missiles for the first time in a pilot program that could lead to larger flows of sophisticated weaponry, people briefed on the effort said.

The new willingness to arm these rebels comes after the failure of U.S.-backed peace talks in January and recent regime gains on the battlefield. It also follows a reorganization of Western-backed fighters aimed at creating a more effective military force and increasing protection for Christian and other religious minorities—something of particular importance to Washington.

This shift is seen as a test of whether the U.S. can find a trustworthy rebel partner able to keep sophisticated weapons out of the hands of extremists, Saudi and Syrian opposition figures said. The U.S. has long feared that if it does supply advanced arms, the weapons will wind up with radical groups—some tied to al Qaeda—which have set up bases in opposition-held territory.

The White House would neither confirm nor deny it had provided the TOW armor-piercing antitank systems, the first significant supply of sophisticated U.S. weapons systems to rebels. But U.S. officials did say they are working to bolster the rebels' ability to fight the regime.
