Muslim reaction to Charlie Hebdo killings
I'm not sure if this attack was carried out by Muslims, but sadly ignorance and uncontrolled emotion does exist within our Muslim community.
Rather than opting to carry out ignorant acts of terror, Muslims should be trying to get the true message of Islam across, trying their best to purify their hearts and trying to do as many good deeds as possible.
As Muslims we can just continue getting the truth out that Islam does not allow terrorism and vigilantism. We should pray that our message gets into the minds of Muslims who are afflicted with ignorance. Perhaps through our work of propagating this message, lives will be saved.
It's not just the lives of those who are being killed in acts of ignorance, it' the lives of those Muslims who are carrying out the acts of ignorance. What use are these people to society when they ultimately end up getting killed by the security forces or imprisoned for decades?!
As Muslims, we need to value our lives and focus on doing good. Time is ticking...
Paris imam, Arab League and the most prestigious Muslim university condemned the Charlie Hebdo office shootings:
Paris mosque imam Dalil Boubakeur jas has called the deadly shooting “a thunderous declaration of war.”
"We absolutely condemn such an act and we look forward to the authorities meting out justice,” he was quoted as saying be Le Figaro.
"Arab League chief Nabil al-Arabi strongly condemns the terrorist attack on Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris."

Muslims: get your act together!!
Muslim scholar, Sheikh Dr Yasir Qadhi states Islam does not allow such acts and he condemns the killings at the Charlie Hebdo office:
Loving the Prophet (salla Allah alayhi wa sallam) is a necessary requirement of Iman. Defending his honor is a sign of belief. This is done by following his teachings and practice, not by murdering in his name.
Our Prophet was verbally abused and physically harrased multiple times in Makkah. Never ONCE did any of the Companions go and murder those who did such deeds.
Do those who kill others in the name of the Prophet believe that they love him more than the companions?
And even for those who believe that the penalty for blasphemy should be death: by unanimous consensus of ALL the scholars of Islam, this must take place after a legitimate trial, by a qualified judge, appointed by a legitimate Islamic state. Under NO circumstances does Islam allow vigilante justice, for to open this door leads to chaos, confusion and bloodshed.
Muslims: get your act together!! Such acts of terror are not only haram and spill innocent blood, they will come back to harm you and your communities in the short and long run.
And as a result, all of us will suffer.

Invitation to Islam
Jesus taught people to do the Will of God (according to Mark 3:35) in order to become his brothers, mothers or sisters. A Muslim means one who submits to the Will of God. Do you want to become a brother/sister of Jesus? If yes, become a Muslim.

News report on the Charlie Hebdo shooting:
Gunmen have attacked the Paris office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing 12 people and injuring seven in an apparent Islamist attack.
Three masked attackers opened fire with assault rifles in the office and exchanged shots with police in the street outside before escaping by car.
The gunmen shouted "we have avenged the Prophet Muhammad", witnesses say.
President Francois Hollande said there was no doubt it had been a terrorist attack "of exceptional barbarity".
A major police operation is under way in the Paris area to catch the killers. The number of gunmen was initially reported to be two, but French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve later said they were hunting three "criminals". [BBC News]
Stephane Charbonnier, chief editor of

in the Paris massacre which left 12 people dead in total.
Charbonnier, known as "Charb", was 47. He had received death threats in the past and had been under police protection. [BBC News]
