Paris Muslim Hero: Lassana Bathily

This is Islam in action: A person believing and doing righteous deeds

Reports are telling us we have another Muslim hero in Paris. Huge respect to our Muslim brother, Lassana Bathily, who tried to save lives. This is exactly the type of good work Muslims must do. Wow. It's amazing that this opportunity to do good came to this brother, all praise is due to Allah.

It's not everyday we get an opportunity to protect people's lives. This brother saw this opportunity and did a wonderful job!

A heroic young Muslim hid Jewish hostages in a freezer as they sought refuge from a killer during a siege at a Kosher supermarket.

Lassana Bathily, originally from Mali in west Africa, is said to have shepherded terrified customers to safety in a chiller as the Islamist gunman took hold of the Hyper Cacher supermarket in Porte de Vincennes, Paris, yesterday. [London Evening Standard]

Quick thinking by a Muslim employee may have saved the lives of 15 customers in the kosher supermarket in Paris during a deadly terrorist attack on Friday...

...gunman broke into the store, Lassana Bathily, a 24-year-old Muslim from the African country of Mali, told customers to hide in the store's basement freezer.
           
Closing the freezer's doors, he told the customers to wait calmly inside while he keeps a lookout. After police raided the supermarket and killed gunman Amedy Coulibaly, the hostages emerged safely from the freezer.
