Prophets Jesus and Muhammad Accused of Magic

From the Quran we learn Prophet Muhammad (p) was accused of sorcery (magic) by the disbelievers.

And they (Arab pagans) wonder that a warner (Prophet Muhammad SAW) has come to them from among themselves! And the disbelievers say: "This (Prophet Muhammad SAW) is a sorcerer, a liar. [38:4, English translation of the meanings of the Quran, Dr Mohsin]

Professor Reza Aslan writes Prophet Jesus (p)  was accused of magic and deception by Jews and Romans.

Throughout the second and third centuries, the church's Jewish and Roman detractors wrote numerous tracts accusing Jesus of having used magic to captivate people and trick them into following him. "But though they saw such works, they asserted it was magical art," the second-century Christian apologist Justin Martyr wrote of his critics. "For they dared to call [Jesus] a magician, and a deceiver of the people." Zealot, The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth, Reza Aslan, The Westbourne Press, 2013, p108

Of course, Prophet Muhammad (p) and Prophet Jesus (p) were not liars nor magicians. They were Prophets of God.
