Accordingly to Hanafi School of Thought, punishment cannot be set up by except by Quran and Mutawatir Sunnah. And the above mentioned punishment is one of two opinions of Ibn Abbas RA. And in the second opinion he says; the punishment is a normal stoning. And many sahaba gave many more opinions. Based on the principle hanafis don't apply death penalty.
