Umm Sa'id bint Murra al-Fihri related from her father that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I and the guardian of an orphan will be in the Garden like these two." (His two fingers)
I was recently sent a link to a file containing 'Names, Numbers, Addresses and Criminal Records of EDL members and leaders leaked by Anon'
This material seems to be circulating around the internet. We as Muslims should always remember we should never try to take the law into our own hands regardless of the misery the EDL are heaping on Muslim communities across the UK.
We should act with wisdom; we should not pass this file on (we don't even know the legitimacy of the information within the file), we should not attempt to confront any of the 'EDL members' or 'EDL donors'.
At the end of the day, we should all remember, some or all of these EDL members may well become Muslim one day. Allah knows best.
Islam is for everyone. Islam can rescue EDL members from the current downward spiral these folk are in.
Let's remember that far right activists can and have converted to Islam in the past, here is a recent case in the example of Arnoud Van Doorn:
AMSTERDAM -- A leading member in far-right Dutch politician Geert Wilders' party has reverted to Islam after an extensive study about the Islamic religion and Muslims. Read more:
American Christians are seeing many African-American brothers and sisters leaving Christianity for Islam. What is the response of these Christians? To lie and attempt to present Prophet Muhammad (p) as racist!
Anybody with any sort of scholarship and/or insight into Islam will know Prophet Muhammad was not racist
From Prophet Muhammad we realise racism is 'ignorance'.
Muslims believe there were black Prophets (in fact Prophets of every skin colour) as Allah (God) sent warners to every nation.
Prophet Muhammad had many black friends (who are loved in Islam), approved marriages between Black and Arab, the first muezzin (caller to prayer) was indeed a black man (Bilal) and the Prophet's nurse was Abyssinian (Umm Aymen)
Did Paul have any such relationships with black people? Did Mark, Matthew, Luke and John ever meet a black person never mind befriend and love them (like Prophet Muhammad did)?
From the New Testament, The Ethiopian eunuch seems to be the first black person to become a Christian - at the hands of Philip [Acts 8:26-40]. There are very few details about this man. In fact Philip disappears after the Ethiopian's baptism.
For me, this is another sign that Prophet Muhammad (p) is indeed the Last Messenger of God. Surely the last Messenger of God would have had such fine teachings concerning race and relations with black people especially since they are indeed generally the most victimised when it comes to race in the history of mankind.
Christian Missionary Desperate Smear Campaign
Sadly, for these Christians the truth is of no concern; these folk have an agenda and they work it assiduously.
Narrated 'Abdullah: The Prophet said, "I saw (in a dream) a black woman with unkempt hair going out of Medina and settling at Mahai'a, i.e., Al-Juhfa. I interpreted that as a symbol of epidemic of Medina being transferred to that place (Al-Juhfa)."
The Assyrian Christian LIES and claims Muhammad said 'if you have a dream of a black woman that is a sign of an epidemic'!
The Christian must have thought African-Americans are stupid or something; I mean there's no way somebody balanced is going to come away believing these desperate Christians after reading about Prophet Muhammad (p) and the hadith above. It's obvious the hadith above is related to that SPECIFIC hadith and Prophet Muhammad did not say 'if you see a black woman in your dream then you will have an epidemic' - this was a bare-faced lie by the Christian missionary who goes by the names, Sam Shamoun and Triple B. I'd like to add another name to his list, 'liar'
The Christian even misuses Qadi Iyad's Ash-Shifa and attempts to make a Muslim scholar appear racist. Amazingly, we have already refuted this deception before, I guess the /Christian in question had not seen our article or simply chose to ignore it to further his deceptive agrenda.
Here is the article in full:
There is a deceptive ploy on the internet which suggests Islam is racist against black people.
Those who propagate such a claim use the two narrations in Ash-Shifa of Qadi Iyad which highlights the opinion of Ahmad ibn Abi Sulayman concerning those who call the Prophet Muhammad (p) black. Ahmad ibn Abi Sulayman was of the opinion whoever does so should be put to death [1]
Sadly, these rabble rousers fail to mention this was the opinion of Ahmad ibn Abi Sulayman and NOT of the Prophet (p).
Their deception is worse still
However, their deception gets worse as the context of the statement is omitted (though it is in the SAME segment of the book) as this statement would have been made within the back-drop of ANYBODY who alters the description of the Prophet being considered a disbeliever and even liable to execution:
Habib ibn ar-Rabi’ said that it is disbelief to alter his description and its details. The one who does that openly is an unbeliever. He is asked to repent. The one who conceals it is a heretic and is killed without being asked to repent. [2]
So we see the problem was not racism but the problem could have been that of altering the description of the Prophet.
To highlight their deception further we can look at the quote they use:
Ahmad ibn Abi Sulayman, Sahnun's companion, said that whoever says that the Prophet was black is killed. The Prophet was not black [1]
However, they do not quote the paragraph immediately below which further shows the issue was not racism but the issue being, stating falsehoods which constitute denial:
Abu ‘Uthman al Haddad said something similar and said that if someone said that the Prophet died before his beard began to grow or that he was in Tahart (Morocco) and not Tihama, he is killed because this constitutes denial. [2]
Let’s be realistic
During such a time there may have been a racist undercurrent amongst the ignorant/hypocrites who used this as a slur (i.e. calling people “black”), thus Ahmad ibn Abi Sulayman would have recognised the INTENT was to disparage the Prophet (p) hence his calling for the death of such folk. It is not racist on the part of Ahmad ibn Abi Sulayman and it certainly has NO bearing upon Islam!
Sadly, the rabble rousers are not willing to scratch the surface or attempt to be intellectually honest – they work agendas to mud sling at Muslims and Islam.
I feel this attack against Islam is simply a devious design to stem the conversion to Islam amongst our brothers and sisters in African communities as Islam has resonated well amongst Afro-Caribbean communities in the West (and beyond) and many are leaving Christianity for the Truth of Islam.
Obviously Islam is against racism
Islam does not condone racism at all. In fact, the real criteria for judgement (in Islam) is that of conduct, NOT skin colour – this is learned through the holy Quran [3]
Muslims believe there were black Prophets (in fact Prophets of every skin colour) as Allah (God) sent warners to every nation. [4]
Muslims respect and love ALL Prophets (p). In addition, some companions of Prophet Muhammad (p) were indeed black in skin colour (the most well-known is Bilal), thus some of our saintly predecessors are indeed black!
Obviously Islam is not racist.
The Prophet considered racism as “ignorance”
When his Arab Companion Abu Dharr called Bilal 'son of the black woman', the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) got angry and told him: 'You are a man who has ignorance in him.' Abu Dharr felt such a great remorse that he put his cheek on the ground and asked Bilal to tread on his other cheek if he’d like to. [5]
[1] The citations Islamophobic rabble rousers are using: Ahmad ibn Abi Sulayman, the companion of Sahnun, said, "Anyone who says that the Prophet was black should be killed." (p. 375)
Ahmad ibn Abi Sulayman, Sahnun's companion, said that whoever says that the Prophet was black is killed. The Prophet was not black. (p 387)

[3] O mankind! Lo! We have created you from male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware. [Pikthal’s English translation of Quran, 49:13]
[4] Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi writes:
Allah has mentioned in the Qur’an that He sent Messengers and guides among all people. Allah Almighty says: “ And verily We have raised in every nation a messenger, (proclaiming): Serve Allah and shun false gods. Then some of them (there were) whom Allah guided, and some of them (there were) upon whom error had just hold. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for the deniers!.” (An-Nahl: 36) He Almighty also says, “There was not any community except a Warner who lived among them.” (Fatir :24).
In his Musnad, Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal has stated that Allah sent 124, 000 Prophets, and from among them 315 were Messengers.
[5] In his famous Farewell Pilgrimage sermon, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared: "O people! You are all to Adam and Adam was made of dust. No Arab is to be preferred over a non-Arab except by virtue of his piety." In another hadith, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah does not look at your images or your colors but He looks at your hearts (intentions) and your deeds. Creatures are the dependants of Allah and the closest among them to Allah are indeed the most useful to His dependants."
A past nation used to live in Musal (Iraq) and say La ilaha illallah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) and used to read Az-Zabur (the Psalms of the Sabians) and they were neither Jews nor Christians.

This a response to the EPIC FAIL of a video by Steven Crowder in his desperate attempt to gain attention. It's always best to ignore such videos, especially since the whole "Islamaphobia" thing is getting old now, but in certain instances it's good to clarify where he went wrong in terms of the misconceptions he put forward.
JESUS V MUHAMMAD!! | MUSLIM RESPONSE | MISCONCEPTIONS
This video deals with the obvious criticisms of Islam and brings light to their reality.
1) The Marriage of Aisha with Muhammad (pbuh)
2) The issue of polygamy and multiple wives in Islam
3) The punishment of adultery in Islam
4) The concept of Jihad and fighting
5) The final words and death of Muhammad (pbuh) the best man to walk this Earth.
We will defend our beloved noble Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) until our last breaths. We are used to this already.
"They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it." Quran 61:8
------
Shockingly there are still some American Christians who believe President Obama is a Muslim. In this video we cite two clips where President Barack Obama says he is a Christian. One would imagine this is enough to prove Barack Obama is not a Muslim.
Pastor Usama Dakdok is one of those Christians who vigorously espouses the idea that Barack Obama is not a Christian but a Muslim. In this video we see how nutty this pastor appears to be. He claims 'if Obama is a Christian then Jesus is a Muslim'. He even called Jeremiah Wright's church and (deceptively?) asked to join the church in order to investigate President Obama's faith status.
There's no need for these nutty right-wing pastors such as Usama Dakdok to go all CIA/FBI on President Obama; he has admitted he is a Christian.
The racist are really coming out of the woodwork after the terror attack in Woolwich.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire at an Islamic cultural centre in Grimsby, Lincolnshire.
CCTV appears to show three petrol bombs being thrown over the gate of the building on Weelsby Road.
Sky's North of England Correspondent Gerard Tubb, who has seen the footage, said they hit a door, wall and rubbish bin.
"A man then rushed out of the mosque and through the flames before grabbing a fire extinguisher to put the blaze out," he said.
Diler Gharib, chairman of the mosque, told the Grimsby Telegraph: "We had just finished our prayers and were discussing how to thank our neighbours for the support they have shown us over the past few days when we heard a bang and saw fire coming under the door.
"I grabbed a fire extinguisher and put it out and then two more petrol bombs hit the fire escape and the bin so I had to put those out too."
The mosque was targeted last week when a brick was thrown through a window, shattering a pane of glass that fell onto a sofa below.
There had been a police presence around the building and an officer arrived moments after the fire was extinguished.A spokesman for Humberside Police said no one was injured in the fire.

I just noticed unusual search words which led to my blog - it appears folk are trying to ascertain whether 3 Muslim women in hijab were attacked by the EDL recently.
I've done a quick internet search and cannot find any confirmed report of such an incident. This 'story' appears to stem from a few tweets 22hrs ago:
Muslim Women should stay indoors. EDL stripped and beat 3 women of their hijaabs and clothes in central london... People are so sickening !
EDL have attacked 3 muslim women, snatched off there hijabs and stripped off their clothing, in central london, edgware road.
The EDL have attacked three hijabis in central london, retweet this so other hijabis can see
Just heard that 3 Muslims have been stabbed by a mob of 30 EDL in central London, also some Muslim women stripped. Is this true? #Woolwich
These are unverified - twitter is a place where anybody can say anything and gain some traction. No news agency (as far as I can see) has reported such either, despite this claim being at least 22 hours old.
I doubt it's true.
Muslims should certainly desist in spreading this claim, there's absolutely no confirmation of this story at all. In fact, it could even get somebody in trouble with the police.
As Muslims we should maintain calm, use wisdom and verify information before accepting it. The EDL are indeed a far-right group that offer a physical threat to Muslims but it does not mean we should jump to any conclusions or hasty actions.
We should all exercise caution and wisdom.
The far-right are out in force following Michael Adebolojo's attack in Woolwich, London. The British MP, George Galloway, adds some balance to the political discussion by adumbrating the actual reasons behind Muslim terrorism whilst doing away with the narrative of the EDL (and other far-right groups) that Islam is not to blame.
A policy of deeper implications for Muslim society during the Prophetic epoch was
his practice of marrying his black companions to the women of aristocratic Arab families.
These marriages were intentionally designed to rid his society of attitudes about class and
race-based bigotry. Had this prophetic practice endured, many of the racist attitudes plaguing
some contemporary Muslim societies may have been alleviated.
An example of such marriages is that of Zayd b. Haritha, who we have previously
mentioned, to Zaynab bint Jahsh, before her marriage to the Prophet, Peace and Blessings of
God upon him. Zaynab was an exceedingly beautiful and refined Arab woman of noble
lineage, and exalted character. She was from the Prophet’s very family, being the daughter of
his paternal aunt, Umaymah. Here she was being called to marry a black man, who had
formerly been enslaved. She and her brother resisted the idea of marrying Zayd until the
issue was addressed by revelation, It is not becoming of a believing man or woman, once God and His Messenger have decreed an affair, to have an option to follow their own choice.56 After learning of this verse, Zaynab was pleased, and submitted to marry Zayd. Their marriage addressed both the class and race-based prejudices that were prevalent in Arabian society at that time.
Another marriage of this type was that of Julaybib, a black companion, to the
daughter of an Ansar57 man whose wife defiantly refused the order of the Prophet, Peace
and blessing of God upon him. However, the daughter, owing to her piety, intervened and
asked that the Prophet’s decree, Peace and Blessings of God upon him, be implemented,
expressing her confidence in the wisdom of his decision. The Prophet, Peace and Blessings
of God upon him, appreciating her piety, prayed that she be blessed by God, and given a life of ease. Their marriage was very successful. Julaybib was subsequently martyred, slaying
seven enemy combatants in his immediate vicinity, before meeting his own demise. The
Prophet, Peace and Blessings of God upon him, learning of his state repeatedly said, “He is
of me and I am of him.”58
These marriages were not isolated events. Hence, one has to see them as part of a
conscious policy being undertaken by the Prophet, Peace and Blessings of God upon him, to
address a flaw in the fledgling Muslim polity. I will mention one other marriage of this type.
It was that of a black Arab named S’ad al-Aswad. Sa’d was an Arab of pure lineage, from
Bani Sulaym. He came to the Prophet, Peace and blessings of God upon him, and asked him
if his dark complexion and unpleasant features would prevent him from entering Paradise.
The Prophet, Peace and Blessings of God upon him, responded that they would not, as long
as he was mindful of his Lord and believed in Him. Sa’d immediately accepted Islam. Sa’d
then explained to the Prophet, Peace and Blessings of God upon him, that he had searched
assiduously for a wife, but had been rejected by all and sundry because of his dark
complexion. The Prophet, Peace and Blessings of God upon him, sent Sa’d to marry the
daughter of ‘Amr bin Wahhab, a recent convert from Bani Thaqif, who retained many pre-
Islamic prejudices.
Sa’d attained to ‘Amr’s door and informed him that the Prophet had ordered him to
marry his daughter to him. ‘Amr flatly refused. His daughter, overhearing the conversation
between her father and the stranger, interceded telling her father to relent before he be
disgraced by revelation. ‘Amr went to the Prophet, Peace and Blessings of God upon him,
and was strongly rebuked for repulsing Sa’d. ‘Amr promptly married his daughter to Sa’d. As
Sa’d was in the market purchasing provisions for his new wife, he heard a caller rallying the
faithful for a military expedition. He forgot about his marriage, purchased arms and a steed
and proceeded to the battlefield, where he fought valiantly until he was slain. Learning of his
death, the Prophet, Peace and Blessings of God upon him, went to him and placed his head
in his lap until his grave was prepared. He ordered that his arms and mount be sent to his
wife’s family, informing them that God had married him to one better than their daughter in
Paradise.59
Here we have an Assyrian Christian who works for a Christian missionary website presenting a ridiculous falsehood that his own Christian colleagues do not even believe!
In this video Sam Shamoun is caught red-handed, refuted and mocked for his utter idiocy.
My thoughts on Michael Adeboloja's possible psychological problems
There is speculation that Michael Adeboloja has psychological problems. Obviously, killing somebody in broad day-light in full view of commuters is something unusual even for a murderer. The act of murder is indeed enough to question somebody's sanity but the circumstances and the manner in which this murder was carried out further raising questions with regards to Adeboloja's psychological well-being.
Strangely enough, this is a man who was quite articulate and calm despite having blood on his hands and having just killed a man. He wasn't trying to get away which is what one would expect from somebody who just killed somebody. To me, this does raise further questions on Michael Adeboloja's mental health.
Clearly he was politically active:
People who claimed they know him also said he sometimes ran a stall from which he gave out leaflets condemning the UK government over the involvement of British troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He was somebody who spoke about peace:
"So get rid of them. Tell them to bring our troops back so you can all live in peace."
He was even described as a 'nice guy' by those who knew him:
"He was just a nice guy really, he didn't do anything bad to anyone, he wasn't a bully or anything"
Here we have somebody who is described as a 'nice guy', university educated, talking about peace whilst trying to force Britain to change its foreign policy through murder in broad day-light.
Do these not appear to be the actions of somebody who may have been mentally ill?
Muslims Condemn Killing in Woolwich!
East London Mosque's statement:
We are shocked by the brutal murder of a soldier in broad day light today in Woolwich. There is no justification for such a heinous crime; criminals and murderers do not represent any community or religion. We remain steadfast in opposing all forms of hate and terrorism.
Our prayers and thoughts go out to the family of the victim.
This is a clip from a Christian TV station (ABN) which discusses Islam, in this video we see one of the presenters (named Sam Shamoun) literally throw common sense out of the window to argue against Islam. Have you ever seen a more stupid argument against Islam from a Christian TV station?
Umm Ma'bad described what she saw of the great Prophet (peace be upon him). She said:
"I saw a man, his face radiant with a bright glow, not too thin or too fat, elegant and handsome. His eyes had a deep black hue with long eyelashes. His voice was pleasant and his neck long. He had a thick beard. His long black eyebrows were beautifully arched and connected to each other. In silence, he remained dignified, commanding utmost awe and respect. When he spoke, his speech was brilliant. Of all people he was the most handsome and the most pleasant, even when approaching from a distance. In person, he was unique and most admirable. Graced with eloquent logic, his speech was moderate. His logical arguments were well organized as though they were a string of gems. He was not too tall or too short, but exactly in between. Among three, he appeared the most radiant and most vibrant. He had companions who affectionately honored him. When he spoke, they listened to him attentively. When he gave orders, they were quick to execute them. They rallied around him guarding him. He never frowned or spoke frivolously." [Hakim]
Along with his physical features, his Companions also described his habits and behavior with people. Once Anas reported:
"I served the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) for ten years. Never once did he so much as express any bit of displeasure nor did he ever ask 'Why did you do it?' for something I did or 'Why didn't you do it?' for something I didn't do."
I understand there are sensibilities here, but my question is a sincere one to provoke thought; does it not bother the Christian that these manuscripts which are used to reconstruct the modern-day Bible are being discovered in rubbish heaps?
Christian scholar, C.E. Hill, in his book 'Who Chose the Gospels' writes:
When speaking of papyrus discoveries this exotic-sounding place called Oxyrhynchus (it's meaning in Greek is as odd as it sounds in English: city of the sharp-nosed fish) must take pride of place. Excavations of the ancient Oxyrhynchus rubbish heaps conducted in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, mainly by two Oxford scholars, Bernard P. Grenfell and Arthur S. Hunt, have provided the world with about 500,000 pieces of papyrus to study - only about a tenth of which have so far been published. It is from Oxyrhynchus, more than from any other single place, that the flow of once-lost New Testament papyri has come. Scholars are now able to work with a total of 126 papyrus fragments of New Testament texts from the first several centuries of Christian history (along with over 5,000 later, parchment manuscripts), at least fifty-four of which were discovered at Oxyrhynchus. [Who Chose the Gospels?, C.E Hill, Oxford University Press, 2010, p13-14]
Despite having re-emerged on John Ankerberg’s show Ergun and
Emir Caner are still feeling the pinch. Ergun’s tweeting of his ‘innocence’ of
the charges levelled at him have been subjected to discussion to say the least.
Ergun Caner has fallen deeper than first thought
James White of AOMIN was looking for a hero to step up and
tackle Ergun Caner:
His words, and actions, speak for themselves, in light of the
overwhelming documentation. This is not mere self-deception. A wolf is amongst
the sheep. Shepherds, where are you? "Discernment" ministries---where
are you? ArlingtonBaptistCollege---where
are you?
Well,he got somebody to tackle John Ankerberg. Here is what this
chap wrote to John Ankerberg concerning the Caner brothers:
I am sorry to say
but as hard as I try to take what these guys say seriously I can't in light of
the documented lies of Ergun Caner, and his refusal to accept responsibility.
It seems that you, John Ankerberg, are more interested in people with degrees
in order to cater to the already convinced, i.e. you are preaching to the
choir, since Muslims won't take these shows seriously in light of the scandal
surrounding Ergun. And besides, he didn't even answer your question here.
It gets
mindboggling when you realise who actually made such a comment – James White’s nutty
friend/teacher Sam Shamoun!
Sam Shamoun has ahistory of vile behaviour, amateurism, stupid
argumentation and outright dishonesty. No Muslim takes Shamoun seriously. O Ergun, how low have you fallen to be condemned
by folk such as Shamoun!
I wouldn’t be
surprised at all if James White’s buddy was simply trying to pave the way for
himself to take over Ergun’s role on the show. His comment about ‘people with
degrees’ seems quite telling. Perhaps it’s him projecting his frustrations of
having taught James White Christian apologetics against Islam, yet the only one
who is publishing a book about Islam here is White. I wouldn’t be surprised if
Shamoun puts this down to his own lack of educational background. It’s quite an
interesting dynamic, the student pitches up and leaves the teacher in the
shadows.
Paul Williams
shows Samuel Green the way
Shamoun was
playing the troll, became insulting and was sharply rebuked for his
abuse by Paul Williams:
Sam Shamoun posted a comment here to Yahya Snow which I
have trashed. It contained too many personal insults and was one long rant
against Snow. Sam was banned from my blog before due to his foul mouthed
tirades and is on the verge of being banned again if his manners do not
drastically improve.
It was easy for Paul Williams. It didn't take years of badgering to see Paul condemn Shamoun's troll-like manner so what's up with Samuel Green and James White?
However I
speculate something completely different. I wouldn’t be surprised if White and
Green are reluctant as they don’t want
Shamoun’s faith to be challenged. Let me explain, a few comments by Shamoun indicate
that he believes a difference of opinion (disagreement) with your co-religionist/s
means one is on the path to leaving their faith. Paul Williams of Blogging
Theology was in fact subjected to the manifestation of this mindset (of Shamoun's) here and I’d imagine elsewhere
too.
This leaves one
wondering about Sam Shamoun, how strong is the bloke’s faith? Perhaps White and
Green think it could go rather grey if he is addressed publicly hence their
absolute refusal to challenge him
Shepherds, where are you? "Discernment"
ministries---where are you?
I think the ‘shepherds’ and ‘discernment ministries’ may be
worried about losing one of their sheep if they make a move…
Note to John
Ankerberg
If you are
looking to ditch Ergun Caner (which you should be) then please do not throw
in the Ergun Caner look-alike - this amateur called Sam Shamoun. His level of argumentation is just as
deplorable as Ergun’s, check his most recent argument out here – he is wrongly trying to convince folk that Islam is polytheistic – not even Ergun Caner is that barmy.
Here’s an amazing
idea, how about you get a Muslim scholar on your show to learn about Islam. I
think even Christians are tired of seeing evangelical kooks being dressed up as
‘experts on Islam’. Let me name drop, Hamza Yusuf, Yasir Qadhi, Dr Abdullah
Hakim Quick, Zaid Shakir, Dr Shabir Ally, Ali Ataie etc…
Here we have a Christian (Usama Dakdok) presenting a blatant falsehood by claiming Prophet Muhammad killed 4 million of his Coptic Christians in Egypt and raped them too. This nutty Coptic Christian needs to be told Prophet Muhammad (p) never went to Egypt!
This is the sad state of the internet - it's awash with moon-bats such as this Usama Dakdok who present the most obvious falsehoods out there!
For the information of anybody who wants to cut through the misinformation of right-winged-evangelical-Christians:
Prophet Muhammad (p) never went to Egypt. His earthly life had passed when Egypt fell into Muslim hands
Amr ibn al-Aas was the Muslim leader who captured Egypt from the Byzantines roughly ten years after the passing away of Prophet Muhammad (p)
Usama Dakdok is a Coptic Christian and his people were persecuted at the hands of the Byzantine Christians and viewed with relief the over-throwing of Byzantine rule by the Muslims:
In Egypt itself, Cyrus had already alienated large number of Copts by the savagery of his religious persecution and they began to desert the Roman cause. Determined to resume negotiations, he hastily signed an agreement in November 641 surrendering the whole of Egypt to the Arabs. Almost a year had passed since Cyrus concluded with Amr the first peace treaty, which had been contemptuously torn up by Heraclius. The terms of the new treaty were severe for the Byzantines, who were forced to leave this rich province with eleven months’ grace but the local Christians and the Jews received the same treatment which had previously been accorded to the ‘People of the Book’ in Syria, Palestine and Iraq.
The garrison of Babylon had already surrendered two months after thedeath of Heraclius, and six months later Amr started building a permanent military camp, named Fustat, near this fortress. The military colony later grew into a thriving metropolis and continued to be the Muslim capital of Egypt until 973, when the Fatimids [909-1171] made the new city of Cairo, found near it (in 969), the seat of their government. Alexandria (capital of Hellenic Egypt), like the rest of the country was evacuated by the Byzantine army in September 642 in accordance with the Cyrus-Amr peace treaty, and was occupied by the Arabs. Thus came to an abrupt end the Byzantine rule in Egypt, and the Copts viewed it with relief. Cyrus had died earlier in March 642.
In 642, Amr ibn al-Aas built a mosque , which bears his name and still in use , to the north of the Babylon fortress, and was the first mosque to be built in Egypt.[Taken from: A Chronology of Islamic History 570-1000 CE, Ta-Ha Publishers, 4th Edition p.72-73]
Christians really need to stop inviting folk such as Usama Dakdok to their churches and gatherings if they value honesty and accuracy.
I recently came across another outlandishly false claim
against the Quran on a Christian satellite show (ABN). Some unlearned Christian
claimed Surah 15:90-91 teaches that the Quran has been corrupted. Here is the
English translation of Surah 15: 90-91by Dr Mohsin:
As
We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians).
(90) Who have made the Qur'ân into parts. (i.e. believed in one part and
disbelieved in the other). (91)
If this Christian had any desire for scholarship and truth
he would have consulted Quranic commentaries – none of which agree with this
Assyrian Christian. The Verses (15: 90-91) are not referring to the
preservation of the Quran.
In fact according to the commentaries that I have consulted,
Surah 15:90-91 is either referring to the Polytheists or the People of the Book
(Jews and Christians). The polytheists were ‘dividers’ and made ‘into parts’ as
they made various false allegations against the origin of the Quran. As for the
People of the Book; these people were ‘divders’ and ‘made into parts’ by
believing in parts of the Scriptures revealed to them and disbelieving in other
parts.
Christian Missionary Dishonesty and/or Idiocy
Only DISHONESTY and/or complete IDIOCY leads a Christian to
claim surah 15:90-91 means the Quran teaches it has been corrupted. This
Assyrian Christian only needed to engage his brain for a few seconds and read
any commentary to realize the falsehood of his claim.
A Clearly False Claim from a Christian Missionary
To highlight the rank dishonesty of this Christian critic
even further; his own colleagues and co-religionists do not use such obviously
false argumentation – this speaks volumes in indicating the obvious falsehood
in this Christian critic’s claim.
In fact if the Christian wanted to understand what the Quran
teaches about Its Preservation he should have read the beginning of the chapter
and he would have realized Allah is guarding the Quran from corruption:
Verily
We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur'ân) and surely, We will
guard it (from corruption)(15:9 Dr Mohsin Translation)
I will includeSayyid
Abul Ala Maududi’s commentary and an excerpt from an article by Bassam Zawadi (citing three
classical commentaries on the Quranic passage being discussed) for people to
gain further insight.
The schismatics were the Jews for they had split their religion into
many parts and caused division in it. They believed in certain parts and
rejected the other parts, and detracted some things from it and added others to
it. Thus they had been divided into many sectarian groups, which were opposed
to one another.
"They have cut their Qur'an (Torah) into
pieces" = "They believe in certain parts of it and reject other
parts. " The same thing has been stated in II: 85 like this: ".... Do
you then believe in one part of the Scriptures and disbelieve in the other
parts .... "
" .... this warning is like the warning We
sent to the schismatics (Jews)." This is meant to warn the disbelievers
that they should learn a lesson from the plight of the Jews who neglected the
warning that was given to than by God, and persisted in their wrong ways, as if
to say, "You are beholding the degradation of the Jews. Do you like to
meet with the same end by neglecting this warning?" http://www.searchtruth.com/tafsir/tafsir.php?chapter=15
Excerpt from Bassam Zawadi’s article rebuking the Christian
critic’s absurdly false claim:
There are various potential meanings for this
verse. I will share only a couple...
(Those who break the Qur’an into parts) they said
many different things about the Qur’an; some said it was magic, others said it
was poetry, others said it was a form of divination; some said it was fables of
the people of old while others said that it was mere lies invented by the
Prophet. (Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs, Source)
Another potential meaning is...
those who have reduced the Recitation, namely,
those scriptures revealed to them, to parts, believing in some and disbelieving
in others. It is [alternatively] said that the individuals meant here were
those who 'divided up' among themselves the roads to Mecca, barring people from Islam. Some of
them said that the Qur'an was sorcery, some that it was soothsaying, and others
that it was poetry. (Tafsir al-Jalalayn, Source)
Another commentary says...
Who have made the Qur'an into parts.) meaning, they have split up the Books
that were revealed to them, believing in parts of them and rejecting
parts of them. Al-Bukhari reported that Ibn `Abbas said,
(Who have made the Qur'an into parts.) "They are the People of the
Book, who divided the Book into parts, believing in some of it, and rejecting
some of it.'' Some have said that Al-Mutaqasimin refers to the Quraysh, that
the Qur'an means this Qur'an [as opposed to the Scriptures of the People of the
Book], and that "made it into parts'' referred to what `Ata' said that
some of them said that he (the Prophet ) was a sorcerer, some said he was
crazy, or a soothsayer. These various allegations were the parts. This opinion
was also reported from Ad-Dahhak and others. Muhammad bin Ishaq reported from
Ibn `Abbas that Al-Walid bin Al-Mughirah - holding a noble position among the
people - rallied a group of Quraysh behind him when Al-Mawsim (the time for
pilgrims to meet in Makkah for Hajj) had come. He said to them, "O people
of Quraysh! The time of Al-Mawsim has come, and delegations of Arabs will come
to you during this time. They will have heard some things about this companion
of yours (meaning the Prophet ), so agree on one opinion, let there be no
contradicting or denials of each other's sayings''. They said, "And you, O
Abu `Abd Shams, give us an opinion and we will say that.'' He said, "No,
you make the suggestions and I will listen.'' They said, "We say he is a
soothsayer.'' He said, "He is not a soothsayer.'' They said, "We say
he is crazy.'' He said, "He is not crazy.'' They said, "We say he is
a poet.'' He said, "He is not a poet.'' They said, "We say he is a
sorcerer.'' He said, "He is not a sorcerer.'' They said, "So what
should we say'' He said, "By Allah, what he says is as palatable [to the
average person] as something sweet, so you cannot say anything against it
without it being obviously false. Therefore the most appropriate thing you can
say is that he is a sorcerer.'' So they left having agreed upon that, and Allah
revealed concerning them:
(Who have made the Qur'an into parts.) meaning, of different types,
(Tafsir of Ibn Kathir, Source)
So in no way does the Quran claim or ever will
claim that it is corrupted.
* Islam means to surrender all matters to the One and only
Mighty God (Allah)
* Islam is the religion of Abraham, David, Moses, Jesus and
all the Prophets and messengers of the one mighty God.
* You are not a Muslim if you don’t believe in all of God’s
Prophets.
* Muhammad (pbuh), who is a descendant of Ismail son of
Abraham, is the last Prophet of God (Allah) who brought the completed religion
and the Word of God unaltered, as the last Prophet of God to mankind and the
world.
* The Holy Quran is the Word of God that was revealed to
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
An Assyrian Christian (Triple B) was playing the fool in a YouTube comment section recently. He was insulting Prophet Muhammad (p) due to him (p) being unable to read or write.
It was lost on the Assyrian Christian (Sam Shamoun aka Triple B) that in the process he was actually insulting the friends of Jesus (p).
Bart Ehrman, a well known Bible scholar, informs us that lower class people in 1st century Palestine were likely to have been uneducated and illiterate.
The ignorant Assyrian Christian (Triple B) was challenged by the idea that Peter was illiterate too. Triple B began insulting and making his ignorance known. I wonder if Triple B thinks the scholar Bart Ehrman is a ‘mental misfit’ too?
Bart Ehrman uses Peter as an example and believes he was illiterate – in turn Ehrman believes Peter did not write 1st or 2nd Peter (he believes they were forgeries)
Jesus taught people to do the Will of God (according to Mark 3:35) in order to become his brothers, mothers or sisters. A Muslim means one who submits to the Will of God. Do you want to become a brother of Jesus? If yes, become a Muslim. Now is the time.
David Horowitz's FrontPageMag has described Pastor Usama Dakdok of StraightWay Grace Ministry as a 'scholar' yet we find Usama Dakdok does not even know basic Islamic eschatology despite claiming to have been educated on Islam in Egyptian school, college and university.
We have already seen, Usama Dakdok who is selling a book which he styles as a 'translation' of the Quran (which he names 'The Generous Quran') is ignorant of classical Arabic.
It does not look good for Usama Dakdok who has seen his honesty, educational background and qualifications all tarnished. I believe it's time for Usama Dakdok to come clean - he's fooled a few and made a bit of cash - it is over now Usama.
On Usama's website, he lists those who have endorsed him, the list comprises of:
Bro. Steve Berry Saline Baptist Church - St. Mary, Missouri
Pastor David Rice Littleby Baptist Church - Mexico, MO
Senior Pastor David McGaffee Pinehill Baptist Church - Olla, LA Senior Pastor Lewis Gunn Jr. Lake Wylie Christian Assembly
One wonders what these folk would say after viewing Pastor Usama Dakdok's track-record of dishonesty, ignorance, hatred and amateurism. I hope folks like Peter Lumpkins get the word out there within Southern Baptist Churches that Usama Dakdok is not the type of person one wants to be relying on for information about Islam.
The sad reality, however, is that Bat Ye’or is now being used by leading Islamophobes as a primary source for their research and subsequent analysis. So who is Bat Ye’or? Well, first of all, her name is not Bat Ye’or. That’s just her “screen-name.” For many years, she kept her real identity a secret, and only wrote under this moniker, which is Hebrew for “daughter of the Nile.” She also had another screen-name, which was Yahudiya Masriya, Arabic for “Egyptian Jewess.” Her real name is Gisele Littman, and she’s vitriolically anti-Muslim and anti-Islam.
She has written a handful of articles and books–with the basic theme that Muslims have savagely oppressed Non-Muslims (“dhimmis”) throughout history. These resources written by her are used as reference sources by famous Islamophobes like Robert Spencer (the face behind the xenophobic websites Jihad Watch and Dhimmi Watch). Spencer hailed Bat Ye’or as “the pioneering scholar of dhimmitude, of the institutionalized discrimination and harassment of non-Muslims under Islamic law.” Daniel Pipes, an Islamophobic professor, cites her work numerous times. She has emerged from relative obscurity to fame, her work being the backbone of Islamophobic (mis)characterization of Islamic history.
Pamela Geller, admin of the anti-Muslim site Atlas Shrugs, declares: “Bat Ye’or is the world’s foremost leading scholar on Islam.” Amazing how the “world’s foremost leading scholar on Islam” has no educational background and absolutely no credentials at all from a recognized university; truly amazing that anyone can become the world’s leading scholar on Islam with just a library card, a keyboard and internet connection, and of course the key ingredient of all–an all encompassing hatred of Islam. Can one imagine the world’s leading scholar on Judaism being an Anti-Semite? This just in: the world’s foremost leading scholar on Judaism is an Anti-Semitic Hamas member. Absurd!
Bat Ye’or is Not a Scholar
Bat Ye’or is not a scholar; she does not have the credentials of a historian from any recognized university. She is referred to as an “independent researcher,” a euphemism for a random person who goes to the library, opens up some books, and starts writing. Adi Shwartz, a journalist for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, rightfully points out Bat Ye’or’s lack of credentials:
Bat Ye’or’s opinions have made her a controversial figure, as has the fact that she is not an academic and has never taught at any university. She conducts her research independently.
Recently there has been a Fox News article which is scare-mongering over the future of Christians in Egypt. Coptic Christians in Egypt have lived alongside Muslims in Egypt and Assyrian Christians have lived alongside Muslims in Iraq for centuries too. Here is a snip from the Fox News article:
The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom recently said: “The flight of Christians out of the region is unprecedented and it’s increasing year by year.” In our lifetime alone “Christians might disappear altogether from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Egypt.”
So there is a belief that Christianity could be wiped out from Afghanistan, Iraq and Egypt within the next few decades. As for Afghanistan and Iraq, I can see why Christians (and others for that matter) have left such places - they are war-torn and offer little security.
Fox News should stop portraying the new regime in Egypt as savages and should recognise that the Byzantine Christians persecuted the Egyptian Coptic Christians so much so that when the Muslims overtook the Byzantines in Egypt in the 7th century the Copts saw it as a relief:
Amr ibn al-Aas had beencontinuing his campaign in Egypt
after his victory at Heliopolis
in July 640. Realising the danger the Patriarch Cyrus – a strange character who
became easily despondent in difficult circumstances and as cruel when he felt
secure – quickly entered into peace negotiations and asked Emperor Heraclius
for his approval, but instead the Emperor accused him of defeatism and
treachery. However, Heraclius died in February 641, and his son and successor, Constantine 3rd,
less than four months later. After considerable turmoil in the Imperial
capital, Constans 2nd [r. 641-68], the eleven-year-old son of
Constantine 3rd, was crowned but failed to command the loyalty of
his subjects.
In Egypt
itself, Cyrus had already alienated large number of Copts by the savagery of his
religious persecution and they began to desert the Roman cause. Determined to
resume negotiations, he hastily signed an agreement in November 641
surrendering the whole of Egypt
to the Arabs. Almost a year had passed since Cyrus concluded with Amr the first
peace treaty, which had been contemptuously torn up by Heraclius. The terms of
the new treaty were severe for the Byzantines, who were forced to leave this
rich province with eleven months’ grace but the local Christians and the Jews
received the same treatment which had previously been accorded to the ‘People
of the Book’ in Syria, Palestine and Iraq.
The garrison of Babylon
had already surrendered two months after thedeath of Heraclius, and six months later Amr started building a
permanent military camp, named Fustat, near this fortress. The military colony
later grew into a thriving metropolis and continued to be the Muslim capital of
Egypt until 973, when the Fatimids [909-1171] made the new city of Cairo, found
near it (in 969), the seat of their government. Alexandria (capital of Hellenic Egypt), like
the rest of the country was evacuated by the Byzantine army in September 642 in
accordance with the Cyrus-Amr peace treaty, and was occupied by the Arabs. Thus
came to an abrupt end the Byzantine rule in Egypt, and the Copts viewed it with
relief. Cyrus had died earlier in March 642.
In 642, Amr ibn al-Aas built a mosque , which bears his name
and still in use , to the north of the Babylon
fortress, and was the first mosque to be built in Egypt.

Usama Dakdok of Straightway Grace Ministry is selling a book which he calls the translation of the Quran (entitled 'The Generous Quran') yet Usama Dakdok is highlighted in this YouTube video to not even know the meaning of basic classical Arabic.
Usama Dakdok clearly needs an Arabic-English dictionary, perhaps somebody can give him some cash so he can buy a dictionary...
The word 'Jihadist' does not exist in Islam nor Arabic. The word was coined up by the media:
The second example is certain categorizations of Muslims with expressions manufactured by some in the media that have no comparison in the Arabic language or Islam! A glaring example is "Jihadist" which is another made up flavour of what the media used to call the "mujahideen" in Afghanistan when they were supported by the CIA to freedom fight the Russian occupation in the 1980s. Jihadist should be a translation of an Arabic word pronounced "Jihady" only there is no such a word in either Arabic or Islam... [The Lies About Muhammad - Mustafa Zayed, 2010, p.18-19]
Ergun Caner in this recent clip from the John Ankerberg show
is asked about Shariah and he tells us non-Muslim girls MUST date Muslim men
when they are asked out by a Muslim. This is a complete lie. Muslims are not
even allowed to date – nevermind forcibly date non-Muslim (Christian, Hindu,
Sikh, Jewish etc) girls.
Ergun Caner Misleading about 'Shariah law'
Ergun Caner needs to stop presenting himself as an expert
and he needs to take some medication to help him with his condition.
John Ankerberg should stop inviting charlatans such as Ergun Caner and Emir
Caner (he has recently been on the show too) as though they are experts. These
people are charlatans!
One wonders what the likes of Peter Lumpkins will say about
this episode.
Christians please stop hiring and supporting obvious frauds
PS What price on James White jumping on this one? We really
can do without the double-standards of James White – if he is not willing to
condemn the deceivers who happen to be his colleagues (Sam Shamoun, Wood, Pastor JospehNajm, Pastor Usama Dakdok and the other dishonest non-entities on ABN) then his
words on Ergun Caner are hollow.
Here we have it folks. The latest Eastern Christian in the
West to utterly discredit himself and show himself up as the fraud and
charlatan he is. I guess that’s another one to throw in the heap with the Caner
brothers, Kamal Saleem, Sam Shamoun, Walid Shoebat et al
In this video we see Usama Dakdok blatantly lying about the
meaning of the first Verse of the Quran. You can check ANY reputable
translation of the Quran and you will realise Pastor Usama Dakdok was simply
lying. Ask any Arabic speaker and they will tell you he was lying as there’s no
way an Arab speaker would make such a mistake unintentionally. See here for
more information:
We see him unable to understand the depth of the Arabic
language – he didn’t even know what Allahu Akbar meant yet he is selling his ‘translation’
of the Quran for over $20 dollars on his website! See here for more information
on the meaning of AllahuAkbar:
Pastor Usama Dakdok deliberately mistranslates s:8:30 and
s3:54 in order to claim ‘the Quran tells you Allah is the best of deceivers’.
However, looking at the two Quranic Verses I realised, the context, the
commentary literature and ALL 8 of the translations I checked (by Muslims and
non-Muslims) disagree with him. The context indicates to us, as well as the
tafsar literature and the translators that the two Verses (s8:30 and s3:54) are
telling us Allah is the Best of Planners. See here for more information on
this:
I checked EW Lane’s Lexicon, it mentions the phrase
AllahuAkbar specifically and the weakest opinion is that it means ‘God is
great’ whilst the other opinions all refer to Allah being greater [than other
beings].
According
to reports Justin Bieber actually stopped one of his concerts in Istanbul (Turkey)
to allow for the Azan (Muslim call to prayer) and prayers. This, alongside the
Pope’s recent gesture of washing a Muslim’s feet may well help to stem the tide of
right-winged hatred of Muslims within Western communities:
I hope Muslims in Turkey
gave Justin Bieber an invitation to Islam and/or some information about Islam.
Insensitive: Norwegian TV show
Meanwhile, the Norwegian spoof TV show which was asking girls to ‘convert’
to Islam in exchange for Justine Bieber concert tickets (to highlight how far
Justine Bieber fans would go to see him live) has been condemned by Bishop Halvor Nordhaug from the Norwegian Lutheran Church:
“This is an
example of an idea where irony and lack of respect turns into something tragic.
I believe [the contest] is a foolish statement and it shows a lack of respect
for what faith means,” he told the Norwegian news site Dagen.
