She became upset with Western decadence such as pornography, the sex industry, suicide rates and the controlled media. She began to look into Islam and also visited an Arabic country where she saw women were treated with great respect. She compared her findings and her experiences with what the anti-Muslim critics were saying. She became a Muslim.
