Israeli Military Scandal: soldier dancing around blindfolded woman
The soldier, who is wearing sunglasses and grinning broadly, repeatedly brushes up close to the woman who has a Hebrew speech bubble coming out of her mouth reading "Allahu Akbar".
Exposure of the video came just six weeks after an Israeli female soldier sparked widespread outrage by posting pictures of herself smiling and larking around next to blindfolded and handcuffed Palestinian prisoners
The footage was aired on an Israeli television channel on Monday night, prompting immediate condemnation from officials in the Jewish state.
The Israeli army promised to launch an immediate investigation.
"The IDF (Israeli Defence Forces) condemns actions of the kind presented in the clips," the army spokesman's office said in a statement. "The clips do not attest to the norm but, rather, only to the exception from the norm." The footage came just six weeks after the emergence of photographs showing another Israeli soldier humiliating her prisoners.
The Israeli military was forced to apologise after Eden Aberjil, a reserve officer, posted photographs on the Facebook website of herself in uniform striking a series of provocative poses beside bound and blindfolded Palestinian prisoners.
Ms Aberjil defended her actions, insisting that they represented "something that happens every day in the army
