Laugh it up anon. Have you seriously not considered the effect that having a cell phone has had on our community? Let alone on the youth. in your hatred, you hate the virtuous. wake up..

Are you serious, you mean to tell me you Muslims are just lost with out FATWA's. There is no common sense, no sense of etiquite, no sense of common decency to the Muslim mind?

I mean really you are telling me that it takes a sheik to tell you that using a cell phone at certain times in certain places is inappropriate and even dangerous.

I'm wondering if there was no elaborate way to go to the bathroom the Islamic way, would you Muslims just go where ever you wanted? Walking down the street, in the living room, at the dinner table.

Muslims tell me, if there was no Fatwa's on the Fiqh of going to the bathroom would you not be able to figure out that you need to answer the call of nature away from common area's away from public site, and that you would need to dispose of that waste properly and clean up after yourself?

Iran's national Internet will be "a genuinely halal network, aimed at Muslims on an ethical and moral level," Ali Aghamohammadi, Iran's head of economic affairs, said recently according to a state-run news service. Halal means compliant with Islamic law.

@ the christian anon

you know i was watching 100 huntley street, a christian show that comes on CTS, a Canadian christian channel, and they had a Pastor from India speak on this as well. he gave his opinion/ruling, which is a fatwa too. so shut it hypocrite

Oh so sorry a preacher speaking out to common sense is not a Fatwa, you Muslims live and die by your fatwa's.

@ the cross worshipping anonymous

actually that preacher spoke about the cell phone issue YESTERDAY weheras this video's from a while back.
so the muslim preacher used common sense wheras that christian preacher wanted to divert from rapes of little girls. though the sad thing is not a week goes by without some pastor (evangelical ones) grabing, abusing, violently touching girls and women.

understand the difference now?

Funny, so I guess CNN, FOXNEWS, All the PSA on TV and radio, all the articles in news papers and magazines, on the dangers of Cell phone usage behind he wheel, and the etiquite of cell phone usage. All the signs at store counters that read "No cell phone usage at the counter" and "Turn your cell phones off in the movie theater" etc.. are all meaningless to Muslims.

You just ignore all that because its "NOT A FATWAH". So to get you Muslims to do anything that relies on common sense is a little to much unless you are told to do it from a Islamic leader.

Yeah some religion you got there.

a main difference between islam and christianity is that islam encourages critical thinking, sciene, math and to understand as well as to explore God's creations however in christianity there is no such thing.
we're not dumb like how you christians think. if you have such a problem that religious leaders can't comment on issues, then get outta here

Google "man washing hands in urinal" and you will see where your so called "common sense" leads to. It leads to the idea of public urinals installed even in open spaces so that people become shameless and show their private parts to each other and other people confuse the urine with clean water to wash their hands with. This is your 21st century, scientific, technologically advanced solution to the most basic of human problems: where someone is going to pee and where they are going to wash their hands.
We Muslims must have religious guidance on EVERYTHING. We NEED to know what GOD would like us to do. This is not new, the Jews laughed and made fun of Muslims because their prophet (peace be upon him) even taught them the correct ways of going to the bathroom. I'm so glad he did. We are not embarrased that we want to know what our religion says on each and every tiniest bit of thing we do in our daily lives. We like to know what our scholars think on every topic under the sun, which is just what a FATWA is: its an opinion of a scholar. To us Muslims, our religion is our MANUAL OF LIFE, its OUR LIFE. To the rest of the world, sadly, religion is just one part of their life, that they MIGHT or MiGHT NOT want to include in their lives. That's a problem they've got to deal with. As for me I am SO grateful that I am a MUSLIM.
