A Video for exMuslims who converted to Christianity claiming they saw Jesus (p)

Many missionaries use this vision/dream claim to fool people into converting. In this video we are analyzing this issue and we bring light on how should people approach and evaluate faith? www.icraa.org

Invitation to Islam

Jesus taught people to do the Will of God (according to Mark 3:35) in order to become his brothers, mothers or sisters. A Muslim means one who submits to the Will of God. Do you want to become a brother of Jesus? If yes, become a Muslim. Now is the time.

Prophet Muhammad PBUH said, "Whoever has seen me in a dream, then no doubt, he has seen me, for Satan cannot imitate my shape." [Bukhari Volume 9, Book 87, Number 123]

This Hadith makes it clear that any person sincerely claiming to have seen the Prophet in a dream has indeed seen Him , unless the person is lying.

Did Jesus make a similar claim as to what the Hadith narrates ? No. On the contrary, if satan in the Bible who is the "God of the world" could tempt Jesus and even offer him the world, tempting the people by deceiving them with visions and dreams is not far fetched to imagine.

The argument is not circular. It is pretty straightforward.
Islamically, as the Hadith proves any person sincerely claiming to have seen Muhammad PBUH in his dream has indeed seen Him. While in Christianity, one can never be assured that any vision or dream of Jesus is true because there is no assurance from Jesus himself that satan cannot take his form. If satan who in the Bible is the "God of this world" could tempt Jesus and even offer him the whole world, tempting the people by deceiving them with visions and dreams is a very fair possibility.

Moreover, Why do most Christians who claim to have seen Jesus in dreams saw him having long hair while Paul who also claims to have seen Jesus says in 1 Corinthians 11:14 that it's disgraceful for a man to have long hair ? Clearly both can't be right.

Anonymous can you respond to my first post in this thread?

Royal Son - I have checked the Hadiths you have mentioned i.e. Bukhari vol 6 book 60 number 479, 480 and I do not find them to be suggesting that the Prophet's interaction with angel Gabriel AS was in a dream. I think you should check out Hadith 478 which is the more detailed and covers up for the lack of detail in Hadiths 479 and 480. Thank you.

Hi Sam

Please stop with the insults. You should behave in a more respectful way. Your comments have been removed. Peace

Here is a post of somebody you know who has seen Jesus in dreams:

Hi Royalson, I don't like getting involved in internet message board discussions. This is a blog dedicated for Muslims and people who want to learn about Islam primarily.

Come here to learn, just read and take your time. Please don't come here for argumentation.

Paul's BlogginTheology is where more robust discussions take place:

Anonymous - 478 simply expands the account of what took place in the dream. 479 and 480 make it clear that the encounter whereby Jibreel said to him "Iqra" was indeed a dream.

This can be cross-referenced with
Sirat Al Rasul Allah by Ibn Ishaq p.72 which reads: "When it was the night on which God honoured him with his mission and showed mercy on His servants thereby, Gabriel brought him the command of God. "He came to me," said the apostle of God, "while I was asleep, with a coverlet of brocade whereon was some writing, and said, ‘Read!’ I said, ‘What shall I read?’ He pressed me with it so tightly that I thought it was death; then he let me go and said, ‘Read!’ I said, ‘What shall I read?’ He pressed me with it again so that I thought it was death; then he let me go and said ‘Read!’ I said, ‘What shall I read?’ He pressed me with it the third time so that I thought it was death and said ‘Read!’ I said, ‘What then shall I read?’—and this I said only to deliver myself from him, lest he should do the same to me again. He said:

‘Read in the name of thy Lord who created,
Who created man of blood coagulated.
Read! Thy Lord is the most beneficent,
Who taught by the pen,
Taught that which they knew not unto men.’

So I read it, and he departed from me. And I awoke from my sleep, and it was as though these words were written on my heart." (Emphasis mine).

Very clearly we see that this was not a live encounter but a dream.

I would engage in the discussions there Yahya, but oddly PW himself banned me from his blog, inferred that I was one of the "usual suspects", and then his blog was made private.

Very strange indeed.

It's unfortunate that you don't want "robust discussion" to take place here. Is that because you don't have the time to moderate such discussions?

My Response: Paul Williams blog is shut down. So step up your game.

Hi Royalson

Please email Paul and ask to be reinstated.

As for this site; not only do I not have the time but this site caters for Muslims and folk who are sincere in learning about Islam plus it's designed to be a more respectful site to both Christians and Muslims

What I've noticed in my experience of allowing an open forum is the influx of folk with agendas who spew insults and drift off-topic.

However, if you are interested in some discussions with Muslims feel free to email me and perhaps we can arrange a discussion between yourself and a Muslim.

Peace

Yahya, I have no intention in pleading with someone who banned me without cause.

hi Royalson

Don't worry. Just read the information being offered by Paul and try to benefit from it.

Whenever you come to this site or Paul's please come with an open heart.

He may be back soon.

However, I will think of changes a few things perhaps to inform people further about Christianity.
