Paul Williams Under Attack By The Islamophobes and Conservative Christian Apologists

Paul Williams of Blogging Theology is somebody conservative Christians found and still do find challenging. The bloke had (or rather still has) a better grasp of their theology, textual criticism, history and religious texts than most conservative Christians. Paul could stand toe to toe with their scholars and not look too out of place - in fact he did.

The thing with Paul is, he's a grown man and can fight his own battles but all this hounding in his moment of weakness by certain internet folk that he ticked off is far from edifying.

Grown men, some middle-aged (and possibly beyond) taking their opportunity to twist the knife. Since when did folk start mocking, parading private pictures of and making allegations about somebody who they claim their god loves? They would claim Jesus died for his sins and loves him, right?!

Yet they grab private pictures and make them public all the while appending some narrative to the said pictures. Yet they mock and hound him through blog articles. Yet they spam blog comment sections goading his associates. Yet they email folk looking for a juicy quote to prolong their feigned ecstasy. Yet they revel in somebody else's hurt and misery.

Yet folk such as James White (who seems to have an axe to grind over Paul's 'arrogant' dismissals of him, pot kettle and black spring to mind) intimate they know the 'real' reason why he made a certain decision - intimating he is a liar amongst other stuff.

James, Paul doesn't need to phone a world-renowned scholar to ask about what Islam teaches about homosexuality - he knows. He's not stupid.

The question is, do you really need to bring this up? Looking to settle a few old scores are you? Kick a man whilst he's vulnerable? Just remember, you were never able to settle them by beating the man in discussion over the NT. Does that irk a little?

Invitation to Islam

Jesus taught people to do the Will of God (according to Mark 3:35) in order to become his brothers, mothers or sisters. A Muslim means one who submits to the Will of God. Do you want to become a brother of Jesus? If yes, become a Muslim.

I think you are a tad confused there, lad. James would have been happy to school Paul Williams in debate before he left Islam because it was too hard. The problem is that Williams would not debate him, kind of like you won't debate anyone.

@anon

Please don't use this comment section to speculate here.

Perhaps you would like White to think about:

thanks for all your support Yahya, it is appreciated.

I'm getting bored that 'Dr' James White is still complaining I will not debate him. If I had some intellectual respect for his views I would consider it. But fundamentalism is just so yesterday... just so utterly discredited.

I think Paul Williams is so yesterday. You know what I mean?

I say,

Didn't you call Yahya Snow an "idiot" for his views on the mental health of homosexuals like yourself?

From Minoria:

I have just now gone to Yahya's blog, after resting a long time and I was surprised by 2 new events:

1.The atheist creator of answeringabraham.com is now more or less of a believer in Christianity. He had formerly been an ex-Christian.

2.Paul Williams has left Islam,at least for the time being.

ABOUT JAMES WHITE AS A DEBATER

He knows a lot but he should know more.Really,I have several times heard and reheard his debate/discussion with Ehtesham Gulam and Nadir Ahmed and he could have given better answers to their claim:"The Gospels are not reliable as history."

Not once, and White should know this(but I am sure he doesn't) did he ever say,for example, that the 20-25 incidents and sayings in the 4 gospels that are counter-propaganda for the Christian position(for example:Jesus saying on the cross:"My God,why have you forsaken me." or the "This Generation prophecy about Jesus' Second Coming)
are proof,by including embarrassing material, that the writers were essentially honest, and reliable.

That is just one thing he could have said. But instead he made sarcastic remarks about Ehtesham and Nadir in post-debate postings about it all.For example, the title chose by White for his youtube video(where he has the discussion with Ehtesham) is:

"James White "discussion" with Ehteshaam Gulam".By having it in quotation marks he was being sarcastic.

Worse,Gulam had made several videos with responses to points argued by White and asked White to include them in White's website,or a link to them.White refused.
If one really has confidence in one's position one would post the contrary videos, and then write an article as to why one disagrees. That is the scholarly way of doing it.If one really has the better answers.
