Israeli and Arab Rape Propaganda!

Here we have it, more of this 'the Arabs are beasts while the Israelis are humane' propaganda. This time it's about rape. Apparently Israelis don't rape and Arabs do (uh?!). So if somebody pops over to the Israeli side they all of a sudden are immune from committing the crime of rape? What are folk going to say next, Israelis doesn't kill innocent Arabs (including children) or Israelis don't dish out collective punishment by demolishing the homes of Palestinians.

So what's all this 'Arabs rape and Israelis don't rape' stuff?

The article begins thus: An Arab Israeli woman  publicly praised Jewish ethics Tuesday, contrasting them to the Muslim Brotherhood’s “rape gangs.” 

Now I'm not sure if the Muslim Brotherhood have 'rape gangs' but if they do then we as Muslims must condemn it as it's unislamic - raping people is not allowed in Islam. I'm not certain but it seems to me the topic of discussion was the Muslim Brotherhood yet it veered off onto Israel and this Arab-Israeli woman made a comment which at least one Islamophobe has jamp on:

“We are talking about the rape of Arab women in Egypt and other Arab states, and you still try to make a connection to Israel? Jewish men do not rape Arab women and girls! It is Arab Muslim men who are raping you, so focus this campaign on them and leave Israel alone.”

If this lady, Anet Haskia, literally believes that then she needs to be reminded of some history. Here's Benny Morris, an Israeli Professor of History in the Middle East, reported as reminding folk that Israel was set up by expulsion, RAPE and masscare:

Benny Morris's latest revelations and comments - published first in the Israeli daily Haaretz and then in the Guardian - make salutary reading. They have raised a storm of controversy that is still raging two months later, perhaps because they were too honest about an ideology that some would rather keep hidden. Using Israeli state archives for his recently revised study, he reminds us that Israel was set up by expulsion, rape and massacre. The Jewish state could not have come into being without ethnic cleansing and, he asserts, more may be necessary in future to ensure its survival. [Source]

So Islamophobes who are using the quote of Anet Haskia should think twice. This desperate scramble to portray Israel or Israeli soldiers as more humane than Arabs is not going to wash while the exact same soldiers continue to oppress and terrorize Palestinians.

What about the rape in the Sabra-Shatila massacre by Christian militia men who were allies of Israel:

The Shatila killing spree went on for 48 hours and left piles of dead bodies rotting in the September sun. Photographs taken just after the attack show mutilated adult corpses with newborn babies tossed among them. Many were buried in a mass grave at the edge of Shatila camp, now marked by a single tombstone on an unkempt, red-dirt lot.

 

Survivors say women were routinely raped and some victims were buried alive or shot in front of their families. Truckloads of others were hauled away, never to be heard from again. [Source]

 

Let's not forget Ariel Sharon being found guilty of failing to protect Palestinian refugees from the rape and other brutalities at the hands of Christian militia men:

 

There was an Israeli—there was an Israeli commission of inquiry which found Defense Minister Sharon as responsible for failing to prevent the massacre of the Palestinian refugees by Israel’s Christian allies, and Sharon was forced to step down—he was fired as minister of defense. And no one could have guessed at that time how a man who was found unfit to serve as minister of defense would bounce back as Israel’s prime minister. [Noam Chomsky]

If Israeli soldiers are being taught not to rape, I say that's a good thing. It's the Islamic thing. Muslim soldiers should never rape so any Arab Muslim soldiers who do rape are indeed committing an action which is not sanctioned by Islam. However, to whitewash matters and present propaganda pieces portraying Arabs as beasts and Israelis as civilized is just utterly deplorable - that's the desperation of the Islamophobe and the Zionist.

W.Montgomery Watt (an orientalist) speaks about the sexually charged critique that critics of Islam level at Islam and he suggests that men often project their own faults onto others and criticize others for what is really a more serious flaw in themselves.

My advice to Islamophobes and Zionists in this regard is to stop with the use of such propaganda tools to demonize your opposition. Be fair. I also ask you to look into Islam with an open mind.
