But the reality is that the West evolved from Secular ideas rather than Biblical ones. Things like women's rights, and equality were never really considered something which correlates with the Bible. Actually quite the opposite. For this reason, I wanted to share with our viewers the Top 10 Historic quotes we have from famous Church Fathers and Reformers. These were men who had, throughout the course of History, helped shape Christianity into the religion it is today.

Do Unmarried, Childless and Divorced Women Enter Paradise?

Recently I noticed a lady who works for a Christian apologetics group here in the UK making stuff up about Islam concerning women in Paradise. She alleged unmarried and childless women do not go to Paradise according to Islam. This is an utter falsehood.

However, this is an opportunity for us to relay some important information concerning Paradise.

Firstly, girls (and boys) who die before puberty, do they go to Paradise? Yes

The scholars are unanimously agreed that the fate of Muslim children -- if they die after the soul has been breathed in and before reaching puberty -- is Paradise. See here for more

This is some comfort for those parents who have lost children. May Allah make it easier on them and make them firm on the deen. Ameen.

Secondly, are unmarried and divorced women forbidden from entering Paradise? No.

Allah does not look at somebody's status in this life. He looks at their piety. Being married is not a criterion to get into Paradise.In fact the lady who did not marry in this life (for whatever reason) will be married in Paradise. This again is comfort for the women who are struggling to find partners.

If a woman does not get married in this world, Allaah will grant her a spouse in whom she will find delight in Paradise. See here for Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen's view.

As far as we understand, the blessed Mary (p) was unmarried too - she's certainly in Paradise! :)

Thirdly, are women who are childless (without children) forbidden from entering Paradise? No.

Again, Allah is not going to judge you on whether He blessed you with children or not. It comes down to piety again.

As we have already seen, unmarried women are allowed in Paradise so clearly the same applies to childless women. Although, as Shaykh Abu Yunus says in the video, women will be able to have children in Paradise. This is comfort for those ladies who cannot have children in this world.

May Allah make us all amongst those who enter Paradise.

Seen as this post was sparked by the lies of a Christian missionary lady, I'd like to ask her what does her religious view offer women when it comes to paradise. Here, we have seen the Islamic view offers comfort to the ladies who have lost children (their children are in Heaven) and those ladies who are unable to have children are comforted too (they can have children in Paradise). What about the lady who is finding it difficult to find a life partner and experience love in a spousal relationship? Islam offers the lady the comfort that she will be married in Paradise. What does her Christian view offer?

Islam offers the person exactly what they need psychologically and emotionally.

Islam has a superior view of the Afterlife. Christians, please look into Islam with an open mind. I invite Christians to Islam.

If she cannot provide the evidence for her declaration from the Quran or the Sunnah, and we assure you there is none, then know with absolute certainty that the declaration is a mere figment of her imagination and her invention and nothing to do with the Guidance of Truth revealed by Allah Subhanah!

 

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.

 

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “And I command you to take care of the women in a good manner for they are created from a rib and the most crooked portion of the rib is its upper part; if you try to straighten it, you will break it, and if you leave it, it will remain crooked, so I command you to take care of the women in a good manner.”[1]

 Some scholars have said the hadith means Allah Almighty first created Adam and then created Eve from his rib.[2] However, other scholars have interpreted the Hadith differently (in a figurative sense)[3] stating that the example of a woman is like a rib which appears to be crooked/bent but the real beauty of it is in being crooked. If one tries to straighten it, it will break and then one will have to put it back together, it would not return to its original beautiful state.

More Poor Scholarship from Dr James White: More Women in Hell Hadith

Here we see Dr James White resorting to low-level internet arguments. The inconsistency is quite striking as highlighting in this video via clips of Prof. Bart Ehrman and Dr Shabir Ally who point to parts of the Bible which White, if consistent, would be sharing 'just for the ladies' in his church.

To this day, I'm yet to meet that consistent Christian apologist. To this day, I continue to campaign in order to educate lay Christians that their apologists present low-level internet arguments which betray their ignorance of the Islamic source material and traditional scholarship. Sadly, lay Christians have trust in their apologists. They trust folk such as Dr James White, thinking they know they are talking about. I've repeatedly demonstrated James White's arrogance, ignorance and bad scholarship. I hope this stimulates lay Christians to stop relying on their apologists and actually start researching and thinking for themselves.

Reason Why Prophet Muhammad Had Many Wives?

A common critique that is brought forth against the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is that he married several women, and a true prophet and man of morals would do no such thing. So why did the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) have several wives? When we examine the women he married, we can divide them into 3 categories, and then we shall be able to properly understand the issue.

The First Category: In the first category of wives, we find that some of his wives were widows, they were women who had children, and their husbands had been killed so they were now left alone. So the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) would marry these widows, and take them into his care, he would look after them, and their children as his own family. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was a leader, so he took it as a duty upon himself to help as many people as possible, now he was 1 man off course, so he couldn’t marry every widow.

The Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) marriages to these widows also served as an example to the Muslims . Widows with children are often viewed as high maintenance, and men often don’t look to widows and their children because it has too much responsibility. So the Prophet was using his marriages to the widows as an example to the Muslims that they too should marry widows, and should not shun them for fear of too much responsibility etc. Throughout Islam we find several teachings from the Prophet in which he advocates and encourages the community to look after the widows, so his marriages to widows was him further advocating that lesson to his people, and he was doing it by example.

The Second Category: In the second category of wives, we see that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) would often marry women of tribes and people with whom he was in conflict with. Now if anyone studies the history of the time, marrying a women of a certain tribe/people would tie you would them, it would create bonds between the two, especially if you were a man of high ranking, and the Prophet was certainly a man of high ranking, he was the leader of community etc.

So the Prophet would marry women of certain tribes who were at war with the Muslims, and by marrying these certain women, he ensured the peace and prosperity with the warring factions. So essentially these marriages were a way of bringing peace, and ending hostility.

The Third Category: In the third category of wives, we see that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) married the daughters of his closest companions, such as Abu Bakr, and Umar. These men were his close companions, they were his right hand men, and they would even eventually become the leaders after the Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) death, with Abu Bakr being the 1st caliph, and Umar the 2nd.

By marrying the daughters of his close companions, he cemented and strengthened the bond and relationship, these men became part of his family, and after all, what is the best way of strengthening your companionship with your closest friends and right hand men?

Conclusion: So in conclusion all of the marriages of the Prophet had a wisdom and context behind them

First thing's first - if all parties involved acted according to Islam this would not even be a controversy. The men would have been lowering their gaze and the woman would have been dressed more modestly. There would be no viral video. No fuss.

Video portrays American and Latino badly

Secondly, the video puts African and Latino American men in a bad light as it disproportionately features them harassing the woman. There's a reason why this has happened. Much of the harassment from white men was edited out!

Here's the admission, by the makers of the video, that incidents of harassment involved people of all backgrounds and there was a number of white guys involved too (edited out):

The video is a collaboration between Hollaback, an anti-street harassment organization, and the marketing agency Rob Bliss Creative. At the end they claim the woman experienced 100-plus incidents of harassment “involving people of all backgrounds.” Since that obviously doesn’t show up in the video, Bliss addressed it in a post. He wrote, “We got a fair amount of white guys, but for whatever reason, a lot of what they said was in passing, or off camera,” or was ruined by a siren or other noise. The final product, he writes, “is not a perfect representation of everything that happened.” [Hanna Rosin, Salte.com]

The right wing are using it to have a dig at Latino and African American men. Here's a comment from a right wing website:

So you can make a video about the harassment of women, just don’t talk about black men. You can condemn rape culture, as long as you limit it to white Ivy League men and don’t talk about hip hop or rape rates in minority communities. There are subjects that feminists place off limits because they aren’t there for women’s causes, their true allegiance is to the larger agenda of the left.

I'm not too sure what rape culture has to do with this. No rape took place. As for Hip Hop, I assume the right wing website is referring to the same Hip Hop and Rap that white owned corporations misappropriate and promote ahead of independent Rap and Hip Hop (such as Low Key and Akala which tends to have a more positive and moral message than the stuff the right wing consider Hip Hop). So really, if people want to start talking about the influence of negative Hip Hop on young ethnic men then why not try to speak to the corporations who own such material? Also, how about Pop music? Pop music has problems of degrading and sexualising women too!

Of course walking in areas where groups of guys are hanging out is going to get more attention and if they don't have jobs it means they have more time to hang out and get involved in these things. I'd imagine that the employment rates amongst African American and Latino men are lower than that of white men. Perhaps that has something to do with this too?

Racism and prejudice of this type will not get you far.

Let's not be superficial as superficial is closer to racism. Be careful, especially you extreme right wingers who are fantasising over American bombs being dropped on Muslim countries, deporting Mexicans and slamming a few more Africa Americans in prison.

It's not a problem of one  race. It's a problem of the human race. The right wing need to recognise this. The same applies to the problem of street harassment of women - men of all races are guilty.

We've all seen the sexual objectification in Western popular culture yet there has been relatively little outcry against it. The right wing media seem to pay more attention to immigrants and halal meat rather than trying to stamp out this social ill within popular culture.

The Muslims have a solution for the disease of sexual objectification of women here in the West. The solution is Islam. Sara Cox has spoken out against one artist. I think people in pop music could benefit from learning about Islam's teachings of respect for the woman.

Sara Cox, the former BBC Radio 1 DJ, has criticised the station for playing music with sexist lyrics by rapper Pitbull.

The presenter, who now works on BBC Radio 2, said she felt upset by the station playing songs by the best-selling artist, whose lyrics have faced accusations of misogyny and objectifying women.
Cox told the Radio Times: “Someone like Pitbull on Radio 1 makes my soul weep with the way he sings about women. I just couldn’t bear playing that.”

..For all his commercial success, the depiction of women in some of his songs, as well as the accompanying music videos, has prompted controversy.

One post on Pitbull’s own website by the mother of a 14-year-old listener claimed that his lyrics “harm girls”. The writer said that after being directed to the songs by her daughter, “I was shocked at how misogynistic they are… Some of the lyrics make women seem like nothing more than an object for the gratification of men.” [Independent]

Qatar Protects Women From Perverts - Leggings Banned!

There's a breeze of brilliance and modesty blowing from this part of Arabia (The Emirates) which is full of respect for women plus pure and utter common sense. We have recently seen UAE come out top for respecting women and now we are seeing more to warm our cockles - Qatar is calling for modest dress and is opposing the oppression of leggings.

 

 

I'm in Britain and see young ladies wear leggings in a manner which are immodest to an extreme - it's so sad that these poor girls in Britain and the US are being pressurised into wearing such immodest dress. These girls are victims. You see, the West doesn't hold a knife to these girls' throats while forcing them to strip off more modest clothing and don immodest dress BUT the West does pressure these girls through popular culture and a faux beauty standard to wear such immodest gear. The West destroys a girls self esteem and confidence in herself all in favour of consumerism - the West sees their women as customers for fashion, cosmetics (including surgery) and the like. There aren't many Christians speaking out about this but the MUSLIMS are battling hard for the basic right of women to be allowed to have self esteem and dignity. The West is trampling on this right while Qatar is trying to uphold this right and is really championing the cause of women.

 

I salute Qatar for standing firm in promoting modesty. IF only we could have  the Muslim Arabs in QATAR sail over and rescue our British girls from the evil designs of the sinister anti-woman system that is oppressing our women and girls in the UK (and America). At times like this we need heroes. Qatar could well be the knight in shining armour the thinking British girl and American girl is looking for. Those girls and women who are sick of having to wake up an hour earlier than their male counterparts in order to beautify themselves and don revealing outfits just to go to work. It seems like Qatar is trying to at least rescue legging-clad girls from the leering of men and the harassment and sick sexual objectification that comes with it. EVERY body in London has seen it. It's sad and it gets sadder still as there aren't that many people other than Muslims who are speaking out against the oppressive device that they are pressurising Western women and girls to don - the leggings!

 

I hope all the British, Australian and American girls and women who have seen their self esteem destroyed through the West's pressure to conform to an unrealistic beauty standard are going to write letters of support to the Qatari government. Please do. Please invite Qatar to spread their common sense, care and respect for women to the West too.

 

Please thank Qatar for protecting women from perverts and uplifting their self esteem and sense of modesty. Even if you are a perverted man who ogles at these girls in leggings you should recognise Qatar's respect for women.

THE Arab emirate of Qatar has issued a decree telling tourists that leggings are not pants. 

              

The Gulf state has launched a modesty drive to make sure tourists understand what is and isn’t appropriate dress. And leggings fail to make the cut.

 

The Reflect your respect campaign, managed by Qatar’s state-run Islamic Culture Centre, uses Twitter, Instagram and leaflets distributed in public places to inform visitors of basic modesty laws in preparation for the 2022 Football World Cup.

 

“If you are in Qatar, you are one of us. Help us preserve Qatar’s culture and values. Please dress modestly in public places,” the leaflets explain.

 

The word “modestly” has been starred on the leaflet and a footnote reads: “Leggings are not pants”.

 

According to Qatar leggings are not appropriate dress because they are too tight and they can be translucent.

 

“It is expected that you wear decent clothes and women should avoid wearing any garments that are too tight; too short or translucent such as mini-skirts or sleeveless dresses,” the Culture centre says.

 

Stand up for the rights of women and speak out against the sexualised clothing our Western women are pretty much pressurised to wear. [Source]

 

Great to see Muslims standing up for women's rights and opposing the sexual objectification of women. Where are the Christian countries who are doing the same? Come on Christian countries, join the Muslims in protecting women and girls. PLEASE HELP TO STOP THE OBJECTIFICATION OF WESTERN WOMEN!!!

Australian Muslims Supporting Arrested Muslim Woman

Muslims showing concern for their women in Australia.

I'm not going to comment on the allegations of this Muslim lady taking supplies to assist her husband in Syria for a war movement against the Syrian regime. The West have their horses and are certainly backing rebels.

However, I'm going to comment on the Muslims who gathered to support this woman while she was detained.

This has been misreported by one right wing blogger as 'Muslims storm Sydney police station'. Uh? Bit of an exaggeration there me thinks!

Islamophobes continually misrepresent Muslim men as folk who don't care about Muslim women. This incident actually shows Muslim men do care about Muslim women. It seems to me these Muslims simply gathered at the police station quite peacefully (no arrests were made as far as I can discern) in support of the Muslim woman.

If a Christian group had done the same for a Christian woman I'd imagine certain quarters would be praising it. Yet when Muslims show some solidarity towards their women they are somehow 'storming' a police station!

Face facts, Muslims love their women. Nefarious forces in the West may want to foment the same antagonism and division between Muslim men and Muslim women as they have done between many non-Muslim African American men and African American women BUT Muslims have Islam. As long as we Muslims hold on to Islam we will be OK and will not be hating the opposite sex within our community.

Oh and I bet the news of a  Muslim country recently coming out top for respecting women is galling Islamophobes. Does it burn? O Islamophobe, tell me does it burn?!

Oh and one more thing, we have already heard a reputed scholar teach Sharia does not allow terrorism so if you're an Islamophobe just know that the mischaracterisation of Islam as being synonymous with terrorism has been refuted. Does that burn?

POLICE had to call in reinforcements after a group of hardline Muslims gathered at a Sydney police station clamouring for the release of a woman later charged with supporting terrorism. 
              
The mother-of-four was arrested­ as she allegedly tried to board a flight in Sydney carrying­ cash and equipment — believed to include camouflage gear — for her husband fighting in Syria.
Joint Counter Terrorism detectives stopped the 29-year-old and her four young children as they attempted to board the flight about 8.30pm on Saturday.

A police spokesman said the Brisbane woman was taken to Mascot police station and later charged.
Three search warrants were also executed­ — two in Sydney and one in Brisbane.
Hardline supporters arrived at the police station after news of the woman’s arrest was posted on social media, with police forced to call for back-up to deal with them. [news.com.au]

Are the women called devils in hadith?

The misinterpretation of the hadiths of our beloved Prophet – peace be upon him – is very common in today’s society, especially when many of the people criticizing these hadiths are not well-informed about the Arabic language. In fact, some of them do not even speak it or understand more than a few words of it! When the situation is as stated, many turn to the English translation to understand some small piece of Islam, but they look at it through the wrong eyes and come to conclusions that no one who was familiar with the Arabic language would do. One such hadith that allegedly calls women ‘devils’ will be examined in this article. We will look at the actual wording of the hadith, what the scholars have said about this use of the word, what the word means in other hadiths and finally we will come to a conclusion about the topic at-hand.

Nicki Minaj, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj, is speculated to be a Christian. I'd like to invite her to become a Muslim. Islam is a religion which honours women unlike the music industry which pressurises women to move away from the natural and become sex objects for viewers of music videos. Allah does not judge a person based on their hair texture or skin tone. Allah is our Creator. He created us all and to Him we shall all return. Allah sent to mankind messengers (amongst whom were Jesus, Moses, Muhammad, Abraham, Noah and others pbut). We must worship Allah alone.

6 Great Converts To Islam

Calling Christian Women 'Sluts' and Stigmatizing Them Unjustly? Muslims should not do this.

This is something that is not allowed in Islam. There are many chaste women amongst the Christian communities across the world. One should not conflate the degradation in the West as being 'Christian'. Many acts of degradation in the West which Muslims see or read about are indeed perpetrated by secularists (not Christians) or by nominal Christians who identify to the religion very loosely. As somebody who was born and raised in the UK I can vouch for this.

Islam is the religion of mercy and justice

Of course it's unjust to label Christian women in such derogatory ways. We should try to give these women dawah - invite them to the Truth (pure Islamic monotheism). Immature insults on the net directed unjustly to these ladies will not produce any good at all. In fact with these immature insults one is insulting the families of many of our scholars - many of them (both past and present) converted from Christianity to Islam.

Here a few points from Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid of Islamqa which will help us deal with non-Muslims:

Islam is the religion of mercy and justice.

Muslims are commanded to call non-Muslims to Islam with wisdom and beautiful preaching and by debating in a manner that is better. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And argue not with the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), unless it be in (a way) that is better (with good words and in good manner, inviting them to Islamic Monotheism with His Verses), except with such of them as do wrong”
[al-‘Ankaboot 29:46]

The Muslims believe that it is not permissible, under any circumstances whatsoever, for a Muslim to mistreat a non-Muslim who is not hostile towards Islam; so the Muslim should not commit aggression against him, or frighten him, or terrorize him, or steal his wealth, or embezzle him, or deprive him of his rights, or deny him his trust, or deny him his wages, or withhold from him the price of his goods when buying from him or withhold the profits of a partnership if he is in a business partnership with him.

The Muslims believe that it is permissible for a Muslim to treat kindly those non-Muslims who are not hostile, whether by offering financial help, feeding the hungry, giving them loans if needed or interceding with regard to permissible matters, or speaking kindly to them or returning their greetings, and so on. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Allaah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion nor drove you out of your homes. Verily, Allaah loves those who deal with equity”
[al-Mumtahanah 60:8]

Has Paris Hilton Converted to Islam?

Is Paris Hilton a Muslim? Rumour Alert!

OK, it appears there is a picture of Paris Hilton wearing the Hijab (head covering) and rumours are abound that she has converted to Islam. There is no statement from Miss Hilton but London Muslim squashes the entire hullabaloo:

For those thousands of you who are somehow finding your way to this blog to establish if Paris Hilton has reverted to Islam I can assure or perhaps reassure you she has not.


The rumour online appears to have spread rapidly and as Churchill mentioned a lie travels around a world before the truth gets it's pants on which was said before the Internet.

Muslims and non-Muslims should wait for confirmation from the individual concerned rather than fuelling rumours of celebrities converting to Islam. I recall there were similar scenarios over Ronnie O’Sullivan (snooker player) and Will Smith (Hollywood actor).

So wait for Miss Hilton to confirm/deny the rumours rather than believing them as the interent is awash with hoaxes, misinformation and rumour.

A word on Paris Hilton’s Hijab picture

I don’t know whether the picture is genuine or a photo-shop but it may help “promote” the hijab amongst those who are thinking or rethinking the Hijab.

The picture of Paris Hilton in Hijab seems to be a certain photoshop. LM reiterates Paris Hilton has not become a Muslim, though there are no comments from Miss Hilton:

Can LM for the last occasion try and make clear that Ms Hilton is not a Muslim, she has not reverted to Islam, does not wear a Hijab, her new name is not "Tahira" and she will not be opening a new Islamic school in Hollywood. However, should anyone out there be in a position to get a statement from her PR guys I'd be extremely grateful.
